  Delver is one of those rare slam dunks of both flavor and function. A top tier card with top tier art and lore. The later additions to the narrative pf Delver weren't absolute powerhouses the way Delver was (its hard to beat a 3/2 flier for 1 mana), but they expanded on the flavor beautifully.

  I feel like the reason no MTG characters are overweight is because most planes have food scarcity (like innistrad) and on worlds with plenty of food, it’s not the ultra processed slop that we have nowadays, plus there isn’t the consumerist lifestyle we have today. That’s why the only overweight characters you see are few and far between, and aren’t as obese as overweight people are today.

  I guess I never realized the story continued with the art. Ive seen all these cards, I played a lot from RTR to HOD so all these cards were in standard for me at one point. Just surprised it took 8 years for it to be pointed out to me lol.

  2 years late, but I can answer your myriad debate. Myriad is a number designating both 10 thousand and a general large, uncountable number, in the same way that hundert(the old word for hundred) can mean 100, 150, or a generally large past counting number. Accordingly, myriad planes is fine but so is myriads of planes or a myriad planes. Myriad landscape, however, makes no sense, it only fetches two lands, and I hate it, thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

  That's was always the editorial plan for Ravinica so that's not surprising or interesting. The only changed was from a hub of walkers to a normal hub

  Why wasn't this the main story??? Ravnica being the "center" of the multiverse is such a better concept for the plain than murder mystery. Seeing all the cultures mix, or previous characters from past storys join the different guilds would be so cool!

  One thing that’s kind of interesting about the Vicious Swarm is that their end goal is not just remaking the cosmos into an infinite hunting ground, but the eradication of all higher thought beyond killing and hunting. To this end, a lot of them choose to replace their cortexes with an Oil-infused fungus called lamina.

  A cool thing I noticed was that the original card was a 1/1 that transformed into a 3/2. The second iterations was a 3/2 that transformed into a 5/4. Then, the final iteration was a 5/4 that transformed into a 6/5.
