Good job man
Thank you... Happy gardening 🌱
Nice cukes and so many flowers. We have room for only one cuke plant in a + 20 gallon planter. We may put some seeds in ground a month before peas are done along side of pea plants. Then cut at ground level when plant is exhausted. >>>>> Peas variety are a spring/summer --- summer/fall. Green Arrow bush that are climbing trellis. Peas are still small in pods. 95 degree day to 80's to 70. One night got to 56. Zone 6b.
Thank you for sharing. Huge help.👍 Happy gardening.
I am glad to hear that.. your welcome and thank you... Happy gardening 🌱
Thank you! Love your informative videos! Salutations from Colorado… zone 6A
What kind of fertilizer do you use for your cucumber plants if you don’t mind me asking
Hey GreenT..What's a good fertilizer to use?? ❤️🤍💙⚘️🪴
What i do
Thank you
Your welcome 🌱
I have 8 total zucchini plants but i planted them about 10 day intervals so not all of them were ready to get tied up. I found some of the coated twisty wire today and started getting the first twist wire on my 1st planting. I planted them on May 27th and harvested 1 from each plant yesterday. That was 33 days from seeds. I'm using your pruning videos to keep them more manageable too.
Weed much? 😅
Lol took care of all those weeds ... finally 😁
@Greentgarden Just kidding! I started putting down heavy straw on a clean bed before planting. The few weeds that pop thru pull easy and moisture stays in the soil. Really saves my busted back and knees.
My zucchini plants grow strong and healthy. As soon it begins producing fruits, immediately begins with rotten roots, this hap[ens every year.
Why do we need to wait till it's cooler in the day to apply spray?
The hot sun could burn the leaves...
Also melon vines. My Israeli melon got them.
Oh sorry to hear...and thanks for sharing that.. happy gardening 🌱
Hello I am new to gardening and planted squashes a month back. The flowers are falling from some of the plants , there’s a few male flowers also but I don’t see any bees in my garden. I pruned accordingly. Can u advise what else can be done. Thanks.
So what to do is to increase your fertilizer and keep applying fertilizer every 2 weeks.. Try to stick to a water schedule. It's very important , Water in the morning or in the evening .. ( Water lightly do not over water ) Water every 2 to 3 days depends on the weather.. You will have to plant some flowers like lavender or sunflowers.. or any kind of flowers you have will attract bees... If your plan don't have enough fertilizer It will stress the plant out and the fruit will fall out.. If you water too much, the leaves are turned yellow. Your fruit will turn yellow and fall out before the flower even open up... You got this !! Any questions feel free to ask...There are some amazing gardeners on this channel
Thanks will do this.
I agree with everything you said unless you’re growing determinate potatoes. Determinate potatoes don’t need to have dirt added but indeterminate potatoes do.
Absolutely correct on that. I forgot to mention that... Thanks for sharing with us.. happy gardening 🌱
Ugh 😩 hate those eggs
Agree here with you... Everyday I'm removing eggs lol
@@Greentgarden yes smh loo
New subscriber here . Thank you 🙏
Your welcome .. and thank you 🙏🏾 I appreciate it... Happy gardening 🌱
Call me crazy, but i love the smell of neem oil 😅
Lol It doesn't smell that bad.. I had a spray liquid fence around my garden and oh god thing stinks ! 🦨😫 Lol
@@Greentgarden Haha! It smells like summer and growing to me. I don't know? It's like some association thing or something
I have gotten zip from mine. I had to pull some because of constant rain and being unable to spray. But hopefully the second round is better for me.
Oh no sorry to hear.. We had a lot of hot days one or two rain days but today some serious thunderstorms on the way.. I hope the weather gets better for you.. 🌱🙏🏾
Im doing the same mine are about 6 in tall , i noticed somw have purple stem and others are green does that mena anything or is it normal?
So it either could be a different variety or it could be its lack of nutrients.. Try to increase the fertilizer and add a little bit more water... In 2 weeks after that it's still purple. It's just a variety... Once it's growing it be fine
Great information. What is npk of your fertilizer
So when I run out of home compost I will normally use garden tone.. amzn.to/3RLo8Hy (Amazon #ad
This is really helpful! I’ve been losing the fruit before it even buds
Sorry to hear.. follow my tips, it will save your Fruit..
Thank you 👵🏻👩🌾❣️
Welcome.. have a wonderful Sunday 🌱
@@Greentgarden You as well 👵🏻👩🌾❣️
Beautiful, great production going on there. I can't find any space for Cucumbers this year. Sometimes us backyard farmers have to make sacrifices. Hey farming ain't easy lol.
Lol totally agree with you.. had to give away some seedlings. Run it out of space here 😂. Have a wonderful Sunday gardening 🌱
is it too much rain? the 2 or 3 '' zucchini is turning yellow. have bees and when no bees i pollinate them. i use the lime stone every two weeks, been trimming the cucumber plants as usual . no cucumbers starting .. Suggestions needed . HELP PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm very sorry to hear that.. Unfortunately when it rains we don't get too much Sunlight these plants needs at least 8 to 10 hours sunlight.. Too much rain will be over watering and it would lead to the leaves turning yellow. The fruits are turned yellow and they will fall out.. Unfortunately it's really hard to control or stop mother nature. The only thing we could do is just we wait it out.. So sorry. Hopefully the weather gets better for your garden soon 🌱🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I have all males 😅 You want some help pregnanting your squash with my all male flowers 🌸 😅😅❤❤❤🎉🎉
Can you do this with a delicata squash plant?
Yes
@@Greentgarden Thanks!😊
smart set up love it!
Thank you so much... Glad you like it.. Have a wonderful blessed Sunday Gardening 🌱
Beautiful
Thank you .. happy Sunday gardening 🌱
Thanks for this guide. I’m growing the cucumbers up a string just like you.
Your welcome ! And nice ,! I love this way .. happy gardening 🌱
Appreciate the thorough knowledge and breakdown 💪🙌
Thank you 🌱 happy Sunday gardening
@@Greentgarden For sure! Same to you as well 🫡
Yes..I always see the ants even in my male flowers..but It never really bothered me that much..usually what I've been doing to pollinate the squash is I break off a male flower and take the outer leaves off and brush it against the female squash..I don't know why there are not enough bees yet in my garden for pollinating
Try and add in some flowers to your garden. I got some sunflowers growing right now and they brought in tons of bees, especially honey bees which I never had before
@@Greentgarden thank you
I spray on top of leaves too to control white mildew.
Nice . Thanks for sharing with us.. happy Sunday gardening 🌱
I’m having this happen, but with cucumber plants. Can this method be applied to cucumber plants as well?
Yes, absolutely . You got this !
@@Greentgarden Cool beans! Appreciate it!
Cool there pretty long
Happy gardening 🌱
Are you growing it vertically?
Yes These are grown vertically upward .. sometimes I let them run on the ground too... Happy gardening 🌱
have 3 plants in one mound.Should I cut 1 off or all but one. Thanks
Well, you should definitely space your plants out at least 2-3 ft apartment.. And definitely prune off some side shoot discipline to grow. We move at least one to 2 feet
Didn't know anything about the vine borer until I seen your videos after my zucchini started dying. I cut out 3 larva per plant, and only lost two plants. Today I find 5 eggs on a blossom. Cut it off and tossed it into my burning barrel. Thanks to your videos, I still have my plants. Again, thank you!
I am sorry to hear, you're welcome and I battle these svb every year... Believe me, we all know it gets stressful when we're starting to lose too many plants because of them... I remove at least about 60 to 80 eggs already this season and we're still not close to over yet... I have all the way into July here in New York before this stop... Then I'm going to be getting a squash bugs next lol Keep up the fight ! After you get them out from your plant, increase your water and fertilizer ..
It does happen overnight
I know it was very strange... Normally takes a couple days...
@@Greentgarden Even this morning! Wow!

It's always good to check... Happy gardening 🌱
What about if U don't have a lot of space & want 7 watermelons from 1, plant? How do U prune, it?
One Watermelon Vine could produce sometimes up to 2 to 4 melons depending on the variety And sometimes some Vine will only produce male flowers. So it's very tricky in this situation.. I would remove about two to three lower leaves and remove about two to 3 ft of side shoots and leave the rest to grow .. and if you could grow it vertically to save space would be good. Just have to make sure you secure your watermelon and tie the plant properly as it grows upward..
1 more, question. How can I make my Watermelon bigger or is it 2, late? They'r like the size of about a softball & already yellowish & still very, hollow. I would like 2 know even though they still might not be any good because where I had planted them the neighborhood cats scratched them out of place & when I thought they were going 2 be no, more. They suddenly appeared at a totally different, spot. 😅.
I make my own. Much cheaper.
Agree... I normally buy organic neem oil and mix with soap water.. I normally do about 3 tbsp in a gallon of water with a couple drops of soap.. happy gardening 🌱
