Put three TUMS in a water bottle and fill with water. Spray your plant BEFORE the rain and after....The calcium will help with blossom end rot. (works for tomatoes too!)

Thank you for the reminders. I only got a couple zucchini plants this year. I didn't want to stress too much about those borer bugs. But I wanted to still get a couple because I love zucchini and I didn't want to forget what all I've learned from your channel by not putting it into practice.

I’m getting ready to grow my squash vertically. Growing inground, and already have about 8 squash almost ready to harvest; I hope I didn’t wait too long. I am doing this because of the nightmare of the squash bugs that I had last year. It was my first ever vegetable garden, and I’m still learning. I went through so much Dawn dish soap fighting the bugs every week, once the summer got into really hot temperatures. Thank you for the videos and with the clear instructions.

thank you! I have been gardening for years. our garden used to be really sunny but the neighbors trees have grown such that they are blocking 1/2 of my sun now. this year I have decided to try a vertical garden. Your channel is so helpful and I love your great instructions and also how you have had so much success in growing in containers and staking vegetables. And trellising different vegetables. Im excited to try all of this. We just need sunshine and the rain to lessen. I planted my potatoes a couple of days ago and then it snowed. lol It has been crazy here in Northern Utah.

@@Greentgarden it is very beautiful! We live in cache valley. The valley is surrounded by beautiful mountains . We love New York too! We love to travel there. I’m hoping that my vertical garden dose well this year. It’s all new to me. I usually let my plants grow on the ground. That’s what my parents taught me. I didn’t know that you could prune plants for better harvest. Or grow zucchini or summer squash vertically. It’s been a joy watching your videos! Can’t wait to see how everything grows.

The last eight or nine years I’ve always done container gardening because I have arthritis in my knees and I no longer can dig in the ground.. I use the big totes. I also use 5 gallon buckets. Don’t have I don’t have problems with anything except squash. What can I do about the squash beetle? They suck the life out of and squash vines I tried it Neem oil.. it helped but they still robbed me.🥰 continue thanks so much for your tip on pruning .. I will try that.

So to hear that , I did use neem oil. It worked but not the best as you said.. I did try mixing soap and water spraying it under the leaf. It help a bit.. you could Also plan these plants Garlic and marigold To help keep somebody's squash bugs away... And the other thing you have to check on, I need to leave soon. As you see the eggs you have to try to remove them right away..

Thank you and yes you can plant any plants in the same place every year... If you're growing in ground , just dig down about 6 in down. Make sure to add fresh soil with compost or organic fertilizer... I know some people said bugs will come back to the same spot , but to me it Doesn't matter , if you have a backyard Garden every year you have more bugs lol I grow cucumbers, peppers, zucchini every year in the same spot and I have no problem. ...

I pull off a male flower and stroke the pollen all over the female flower (on the stamen). I do that right from the get go and I never lose a single courgette. Good luck!

You can save male flowers in fridge for a couple of days and when the girl opens up grab your guy out of fridge pull off petals and get to work and manually pollinate all open females. Voila🤗

Definitely a sunny area , so I would do a all purpose fertilizer and a fertilizer with calcium Like this amzn.to/3ynLn3g (Amazon #ad amzn.to/3ynLn3g (Amazon #ad Zucchini plants are big plants and grow big fruits so they do need lots of fertilizers and water . I recommend adding fertilizer every 2 to 3 weeks. Keep the plant healthy.. Will get the best growing production..

I e have lost 3 blossoms over the past 3 days, there is one left and new this morning. I like verticale growing but I do believe I have crowded our plant with a successful tomato plant. We have control of the little bugs but I scared a rabbit this morning. What do you do about rabbit control? I do have cabbage planted in the next tub over.

If you have fresh soil you could add fertilizer in the next 2 weeks... Then I would add fertilizer every 3 weeks as the plant grows.. big plants and big fruit so definitely need to keep the plant healthy and enough water too..

My squash is looking good but the big buds at the bottom of the plant don’t have any vegetables on them it’s just buds, what’s up with that? Does that mean all them are males?

Yes male flowers... Squash plants normally grow male flowers first before producing females it's common..
