The cpu-fan was upside down on the old heatsink. A 6800GT videocard might be a good choise, or a ATI 9800 Pro.

If you have time get a dell 5070 and check it out just do what you like best i know its hard to take care of your grandma but you have to take some time for yourself work and problems can kill and get deppressed so you take your time your young!.

Ive had the single cpu version of this for 10 years and its still working pretty well. Just upgraded to 48gb ram and 4gb gpu so im back to photo editing much easier than i was previously. Its a beast of a machine considering how old it is.
Totally hear what you are saying. Constantly being asked to help someone else is exhausting, especially when you never are appreciated for it. Set some goals. Physically write them down and check them off as you achieve them. This will give you focus and a sense of accomplishment that will warm your spirit. Money is key to independence. The more you get the faster you can achieve your goals. Go on an extreme budget and literally save every dollar you can. It will add up quicker than you think. (check out Dave Ramsey) Work hard. You can do this. Heck YT your journey. Others may find that interesting as well.
My dell e6400 atg had a core 2 duo p8700 processor, upgraded to the p9700 processor. It's a tank!
Just a little advice ...work on your career, your job. If you can't save money, this is your biggest problem. Like that you can get a place of your own and become independent.
Sometimes as an Adult you have to make life choices. Do what is best for you. You have to work on yourself and self health first.

I installed it on Virtualbox, it was slower than Windows Vista.
I found this laptop at the thrift store the other day for $5! Also got a MacBook Pro, and a MacBook PowerBook G4. The Apple laptops need a couple of things, but $15 total? I wasn’t going to pass it up. The Dell Lattitude has wireless charging, biometrics, backlit keyboard etc etc. selling my old touchscreen pos I’ve been using now. Lol
You don’t need to remove the top panel to remove the side panel…. This is why the the metal tab is a pull tab rather than a push tab, because it enables you to hook your finger under and pull it to release the side panel whilst the top panel is still in place. The top panel only needs removing to gain access to the optical drives.
Just fired up my wifes HP mini after it's been sitting around for about 15 years. Surprised by how responsive it was. It's been sent to ewaste now. With 1gb RAM installed, it's really had it's day.

Does this work with a Dell Optiplex 3020? I know it has a recovery partition it is still running windows 7 with all of its OEM apps. I want to factory reset it but i dont know how :(

Cybertron AKA CLX are the worst “pre-built” company you could ever buy from. They do use recycled parts and charge double MSRP of brand new. Very bad company and very bad customer service
NIce video. Have you ever managed to boot your Thinclient from an internal USB? The port seems great for that purpose as its 3.0 and hidden away. But I can never get it to boot from there...

Just bought a brand new one in the box for £50 off ebay. Only going to use it for calander, a fe games and I might try loading a few books. I use a pocket DAB radio for music and a Nokia 8210 4g for phone etc. I'm really in to old school Kiss tech (keep it simple stupid) I'd rather use old tech any day of the week.
It might be just me but i personally think Foxconn is the poorest compared to the Delta,Sunon and Nidec versions. Whenever i hear a fan rattle inside an oem computer it's always a Foxconn no matter if it's a Dell,HP or a Lenovo. I even tried to replace the bearing ball inside them and they still rattle so....if they're rattling they are done for good

Do you still have this computer and factory image? The previous owner of my computer deleted everything off of the recovery drive, and all my attempts to fix it have failed.
