  I'd like to get your advice. I have this same exact watch but with a black dial. Recently it went through a water damage. I was stupid to wear it when I went for a thermal bath so it went through a series of environment. For example, through the sauna, steam room and I bathed in hot water and cold water. The next day, the watch went all foggy and could tiny droplets of water on the glass. I sent it to Tag and they advised to replace the electronic component, totally understandable. At the same time, they advised me to replace the case back and the dial. Is replacing the case back and dial necessary?

  There is no need to replace the back and dial unless its damaged, also if the watch is working, remove the battery and dry it.No need of replacement of electronic component, Maybe you would require replacement of gasket. Hope this helps. Few years back a friend had a similar issue i quickly removed the battery left the electronics to dry for a few days and till now watch is moving fine.

  @@psycolana Thank you so much for your input. Ah man, I should have known better. I didn't remove the battery after it happened. Unfortunately, I let the watch go on for about a week and then it stopped working. When it stopped, I immediately sent it to Tag. They diagnosed and said that the electronic component needs to be replaced.

  @@psycolana I'm from Malaysia so it's RM1,600 or $340 USD - and this is quite a sum for me. They tried to milk me with the first quotation of RM3,100 or $620, where they costed in bracelet and bezel replacement. I told them to exclude these two and they revised the quotation. Then upon getting your advice, I told them to revise the quotation again to exclude the case back and dial.

  Initially it projected a screwed coupler but actually opened a slotted coupler which is very easy.

  Nice tutorial, I was wondering if this swap was possible and everything looks like a direct swap except for the display data cable. My 2011 macbook pro had an i5 originally, I'm considering buying a 2012 i7 logic board. One of the concerns I have is the battery, do you think they have the same/similar specs?

  I am having trouble finding the right crown and sleeve to fit this watch. My father broke the stem and I bought a G10.211 replacement, which fits (although it looks a little long), but the crown I have, while it screws on, leaves a gap showing some of the threads of the stem. It doesn't sit flush. Could you help me find a suitable crown replacement. He has this EXACT watch but it's unclear what the exact crown replacement I need is. I've used the model number T055.417.11.047.00 but still have had no success.

  Hi, the stem could be shortened using a file, give me a day or two will try to get the measurements of the stem and crown, replacement crown stem can be procured from www.cousinsuk.com/

  @@urizen2000 crown dia is 6mm - 5.8mm aprox, on my prc 200 Hope this helps.

  and stem length is aprox 11.18mm from the crown post on my watch, i guess you will jut need to trim the length slightly on your watch stem.(remove stem from the crown and trim/flie the stem slight.

  If I am not mistaken this is the movement also on the Omega + Swatch moonwatch. I understand that this movement is unlikely to be reparable. Isn't that right?

  New caliber G10.212 replaces caliber G10.211 on the Omega + Swatch moonwatch. The movement can be repaired if you try doing it by yourself, it involves cutting plastic tabs that holds the movement together, once repaired you will need to glue/ melt the the ends of the plastic tabs, you could just replace the movement as it is not so expensive and save the trouble of opening and repairing the movement .

  Awesome video. I already made some upgrades on my old Late 2011 MBPro (changed baterry, fan, thermal paste, HDD for SDD, upgraded RAM) and I would say it's working even better than when I bought it back in 2012. Was wondering if changing the motherboard to a MID 2012 is worth it or not.
