Its different for sure, but providing quality videos of garbage trucks is the goal! Call it a hobby, an interest, an inspiration for future careers, or just a guilty pleasure, we are here to provide countless garbage truck videos to everyone!
I loved the 1am start times. No traffic, only people running were garbage guys and delivery trucks. Gotta deal with the homeless, but most of the time they left ya alone

Pretty much all early morning, the latest I'm out is Monday which is my biggest day. I get off by 9:30am. Tues/Weds is typically before 8 and then Thurs/Fri I'm off before 6:30. I average only 30-34 hours a week but get paid for 40 hours. It's great

Crazy that the company doesn’t make him run the packer at idle. Any company around us that goes into a neighborhood for night commercial has to run it at idle or the cops will get called 3-4 times. Much respect to Simon though, 1am commercial is no joke. Hope his company does a good job compensating him for it.

Great looking truck. Wow that must big a big change for Simon (AKA Simco) to go from glass recycling during the day in a residential setting to now doing night work. I knew from his channel he made the change to rear load, but did not realize this was going to be a night shift. As you say, lots of respect to him and good on him for letting you tag along. Keep up the great work guys!

Sweet catch! I thought spilt body was just in North America so it was great seeing this. Interesting how the cart lids open away from each other as opposed to the standard American design. Thought this would result in more contamination since there is no barrier but it looks like it works well for them.

great video if there‘s one thing I didn‘t expect on Yt it would be someone filming garbage trucks in Iceland haha the orange truck is a NTM body. NTM is a Finnish company and they are pretty predominant in the northern European countries so no surprise Iceland has them too. From my knowledge, NTM is quite big in the split body business with them even having built (or still building idk) a RL that is solit into not two but four compartments. Northern Europe from my observation is quite the fan of split bins.
@NZRubbishTrucksАй бұрын
Wow, that is super cool! Not only is the rear load truck a split body which is a unique design in its own right, so are the bins! That is really something different. I have so many questions like how long have they been running this kind of setup and if these trucks were retrofitted to accommodate dual streams? The orange truck does seem to be a lot slower than the split body of the yellow one with the bins needing to be emptied one at a time due to the bins being slit too; quicker one would think to have individual bins for each stream. Hope the holiday went well and maybe we are instore for some more overseas treats like this. Great job!
