I would NEVER buy this car if I’d known what I know now after owning one for 15years! and spending a small country’s GDP on keeping it on the road. But I just love it at the same time. 🤷♂️
I have the 316i E90 2007 model with N45B16A! Amazing car and very reliable
Had 4 of them and love them, in imo the most versatile ranga to date.
The NC hydraulic rack is better than the ND electric one (I had a 2007 NC for 14 years and upgraded to an ND2 in 2021). But it's a close run thing. The ND's is still bluddy good.
Brilliant review Thankyou.
Man chose the worse videos as sample for the 2.0 boxer 718🤣 go check out my vid of my 718
Very accurate review. My 2022 718S has been flawless!
I have a 2007(or 2008 I always mix it up )xc90 3.2 v6 I have 108k miles and I have squeaky breaks, my oil temp has never moved and when I roll up my window with the automatic feature it comes back down
What about sticky steering ?
Awesome video man
2014 jeep Cherokee in shop more then on the road
Thanks, great film. I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole!
2014 xf 2.2 exhaust fumes from engine bay through air vents into cabin, apparently a common problem, but why haven't JLR resolved this.
I owned a 2013 SQ5 from brand new until December 2023 in Australia. For the first 8 years of ownership it was a great car. I had it maintained from Audi and then aftermarket. In 2022 it fell off a massive maintenance cliff. The entire front end suspension was replaced due to knocking, engine mounts redone and then had the front rotors and brakes done. I accepted the brakes but shocked about the suspension and engine mounts given that the car only had travelled 105,000 kms. What worse was the come was that at the 8 year service Audi said there is a 'massive problem'. It turned out to be misting from the upper sump. My independent advisor said that it was there from the beginning but Audi failed to tell me. It was not apparent there was an oil leak and I never received a low oil warning. From 8 years to the end, during winter it sporadically threw a P2006 error (Inlet runner jammed). A mechanic advised me this occured in winter only and it was fine in summer. It would have been resolved with a carbon port clean (walnuts). The final death knell for me was when I was recommended to get a carbon clean and have the valley seals redone. That was going to cost me $2500, with Rego and Insurance coming up it was another $2500. Enough was enough and it was moved on. Like a lot of KZread videos have regarding used luxury cars- When they get older and get sold onto people they cannot afford to maintain them when something goes 'Boom'. After this terrible experience, I bought a Telsa 3 Performance. Time will tell if this is unkind to me or not.
Great tips. Thank you. The FK8 Type R is truly a fantastic car and is a future classic. If people are able to get one in good condition they will not be disappointed. I think they will only be in more demand as time goes on. I also think the aggressive styling is aging very well. You look at it and you immediately know it is something special. I an FK8 Honda Civic Type R and I am never selling that car.
I’m amazed this video isn’t longer documenting common issues/faults of a P38. Also amazed that there’s 14 thousand potential buyers for a P38 watching this vid. But then I am looking at L322’s so I’m equally crazy 😂
If you’re looking for the L332 I did an extended guide that you might want to check out 👍 Range Rover ultimate buyers guide L322 (2001-2012) Owner report and in-depth L322 information kzread.info/dash/bejne/eGydtJlypMixdLw.html
The DRL tubes being $5,000 for a new light is nutz.
I owned a 2012 TDI . I loved it but it came without a Back up camera because of an earthquake in Japan that cut supply , no camera was not helpful for my wife parking . The new 2024 Touareg is not available in North America which is quite annoying as the European reviews I read are very positive , I checked out the Atlas but it’s not the same and Diesel is an absolute no no in Canada so I feel I never should have sold the 2012 .
"The best things in life require some slip and some friction" 🤣 Jokes aside. I don´t understand the P450. Is the supercharger even required to hit the 450 PS mark? It´s like a castrated engine for marketing purposes just to replace the V6 as a middle range engine🤔
Thanks!
Thank you for supporting the channel 👍
The statement @2:13 isn't correct. Als pre facelift models can have digital dails. The easiest way to check if you have a pre facelift model is to check the steering wheel. If you see normal button's it's the old version. The new version has the integrated buttons shown in the video.
These are hands down one of the best cars BMW has produced. My 4.0m60 still runs great, no its not perfect, but show me a car from 1994 what is immaculate after 30 years and almost 400k kms on the clock...
WORST vehicles EVER manufactured!😢
If you want to daily an F-type and you're an enthusiast, aim for 2018 model year V6 with manual transmission. I got one and it's awesome.
X-TRAIL 2013, simply, I loved! only few and small issues.
Great video
Thanks for the feedback 👍
Excellent thank you!
Have an XC60 and it's got a drive train shunt when it's really warm after an hours drive. The car drifts back when I lift the brake and then as I apply the accelerator it bangs through the car with a massive thud.
I have a 2008 c280 elegance and I love it to death
I speak frensh golf 5gti
9:50 “4 liter naturally aspirated …..”what?…unintelligible.
'4.0-liter naturally aspirated motor'. It plays ok my side, is the sound dropping out for you?
@@themilesdriven yes like it was dropping out. Replayed it several times. JBL charge 2 bluetooth speaker. But ok thanks for clarifying.
@@themilesdrivennow it plays fine…thanks.
Accurate review thanks - many 718 Spyder ( including mine) have had PADM transmission mount a failure ( some multiple times ) - expensive but replaced under warranty if you have it - as they fail randomly porsche not recalled
Thanks for adding this information about the gearbox mount 👍
Tiguan: estupendo coche.
Stage1 gti is a better buy unless you live in a snow country
Still, an unelected weight on us all.

2016 F-Type R convertible. Try to keep up
Currently driving a 2021 V6 with heavy duty suspension pack. It’s rated to tow 3500kg, although I’d definitely not tow that much over a long distance. Makes the ride unladen quite harsh but adding a securilid along with tools etc. settles it very well. Lovely motor. Cheers for the video.
I was surprised to see them so numerous in Netherlands... Hilarious in Delft 😂
Yeah this generation seems to be popular across Europe, I see them quite often in the UK 😄
can someone summarize the video for me what to buy what to avoid? i have adhd and i cant listen to british audio it has no emotional change and i cant connect to what it says for more than a few seconds
Hi, I put subtitles in several languages in all my guides so you could watch with subtitles on if my voice is particularly hard for you to listen to? Out of interest is is specifically me that you are struggling with or all British accents? and is it just the guides you are struggling with listening to me or is it the same in the videos where I'm driving a vehicle on camera as well? Appreciate the feedback
In nut shell. Avoid 4syl. engines. Buy 6syl. Gas or Dielsel. This main rule is for every BMW made. The swirl flaps on diesel remove them not replace. Every car brakes at some point. So does E83 so its a guessing game every time. Test drive and check the over look inside and out. If it feels right, buy it. The rest is pure luck. Every seller hides something or "forgets" to tell. Some say look for 06/2006-> on automatic transmission. GM 5sp -> ZF 6sp. After oil change I have no problem with GM... Only BMW's for 18 years.
Rover P5 look exactly like a well fed British Shorthair cat. Anyway I miss her. Her presence was discreet but her absence less so.
My 2015 F type with 120,000 km averages 30.2 mpg (rather spirited driving always in dynamic mode).
Don't try to tell me o/h that the automatic isn't a fun drive... though the powershift gives good manual up and downshift.
Timing chain. Timing chain. Timing chain. Plastic tensioner that is designed to fail. Its not a case of 'if', it's 'when'.
Well done, fantastic overview. We are Cayenne Diesel enthusiasts, owning three 958.2s in the immediate family. They serve as “our keeper” cars due to their reliability, comfort, and fun to drive.
Absolute greed. She did NOTHING for the people of England. She despised the poor.
Can we have some clarification on the fault of the JLR Range Roved that caused the Luton airport carpark fire? I have heard there been numerous RRs self destructing
Correction: petrol engines were Euro4 at minimum. No Euro 3 here…!
Her smile was a pure joy. She was such a treasure to her peoples.
Margaret Thatcher. I first noticed the Jag when I saw her as PM. I was impressed with both car and Her. Class. Today I don’t like any leaders nor new cars.
