Any idea why my 2014 volt only charges to a max range of 27-29 miles? It’s got 160,000 miles on it and when I first got it a month ago it charged to 29 miles now under a month later full charge is at 27 miles :( I sad

There's a lot of things you have to look at when you look at your charge rate. Do you run your AC a lot. Is it on high. Do you use any of your regeneration low gearshift. Do you run your heat too much. Do you live in our hilly area.? it could have some degradation to your battery. Look at your lifetime battery setting.( on the radio screen under economy button.

My name is Belle and I’m working on my 2007 PT Cruiser this weekend, specifically the sensors. I changed the sensor in the front that you have shown here in this vid. I have to change the other one in the back under car. The check engine light is on and the code threw this sensor. I am a newbie and am learning things that usually the men in my life or auto shops have taken care of for me. Recently decided to budget like I taught Dave Ramsey everything he knows! That has lead me on this journey of DIY for everything including my car. KZread has been a great help, including this video. The sense of accomplishment of doing it myself while men watch proudly and aghast that a girlie girl (with a mani/pedi) gets into it and succeeds is amazing! SHERA!!! I am WONDERWOMAN! 👏🏼. Thanks for posting! Can u post a step by step on the other sensor for a 2007 PT Cruiser that’s in the back underneath the car? 🦸🏻‍♀️

Hi Bella, it is great to hear from you. Unfortunately, I do not have the same car anymore because we flipped it and sold it to somebody and it is still running strong and wonderful. However I do have a PTGT which I am going to look and see if the O2 sensors are in the same place, please subscribe so that you can catch my next video and I will show location of the O2 sensors and let you know exactly how to take them off. also, your journey sounds pretty awesome. I am so glad to hear women that work on cars and do the DYI thing.

I have one light retaining water. Do you just look for cracks and then repair them? Or are there common areas that allow the water to leak into the assembly?

  • @micmac2800

Most of the time they are around the areas where the two pieces come together, and they are sealed with silicone or some kind of waterproofing. You have to look at your tail lights for cracks in the face also. Hope that helps.

Edit: Obd2 is 96and up 16 pin standardized plug. Obd and Obd1 weren’t standard between manufacturers. GM’s original plug OBD was 8 pin second design obd1 16pin rectangle like in video.
