  OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG I REMEMBER POCOYO WORLD!!!! I played that game so much as a kid and then was saddened when i found out it closed :( i really wish for a rewrite/remake of the game cus it was so cute and fun... it was so long ago i can't even remember how my avatar looked exactly, but all my brain remembers about that time it's that it was a blast. I played it in spanish btw, so it was called Mundo Pocoyo when i played it, i also was a bit of an avid pocoyo fan so of course i had to play the game when i found out about it xd

  I had to look up what it was called but I had the Sanyo Incognito in 2010! Closed it was a plain silver box, but if you pressed a side button it lit up with the numbers and a basic call menu on top, so for calls you would just hold it up as it was. But it also flipped open horizontally to feature a full QWERTY keyboard and other features with a screen on top. I mostly used the internet for Facebook and KZread. I lost it about 6 months later though and I didn’t get another phone (just a basic flip phone) for another couple years:P I had that until 2017 though, when it broke in half and I finally upgraded to the iPhone SE (1st edition)

  Oh, 4000th comment! I miss chstomization sm😭 I’m a bit older, and I was always fascinated by these custom websites, hoping that one day I can make my own, I even had PLANS drawn on paper….never did Never Maybe now, these recommendations are hopefully useful, we’ll see

  man i really miss how websites were so skeumorphic back in the day, like a button used to be 3D and actually looked like it's something that's supposed to be tapped/clicked. Now minimalism has made everything flat n it wasn't just the web even mobile apps had these awesome "close to reality" designs for instance i remember how iBooks' UI was originally designed to exactly emulate the look n feel of a bookshelf but later they changed it to look like a simple windows folder full of PDFs

  thank God I use Firefox which has tonnes of custom browser themes designed by the community and good gracious I'm a CSS aficionado which allows me to override themes for practically any website with the help of an extension. heck I've got red text at certain places on my youtube and a super kewl red shadow on my playback controls which can be seen on hover giving an awesome neon effect and I know it's quirky n today's iphone using normie kids wont like it but i dont give a shit cuz i made that theme n it looks supa cool to me!

  Crazy decade with crazy phones. I remember de Samsung Beat DJ, which was a phone to mix and make music and the design was inspired by a DJ Desk. And the LG Viewty, that was a phone focused on the camera and the design was inspired by digital cameras.

  I've been using Windows since 95, I want my themes back too! Windows 98 had custom gradients for your taskbar and window titles... Why can't we have the Windows 7 Aero with the gradient blend choices of 98! It would be so beautiful! But no... we have to have "corporate boring" as the only choice.

  About changing the logon background in Windows 7 it is possible by: Open Regedit and go to *Computer/HKEY_LOCALE_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrenVersion/Authentication/LogonUI/Backgrounds* and change OEMBackgrounds value from *0* to *1* Go in the windows explorer to: *C/Windows/System32/oobe/info/backgrounds (info & backgrounds need to be created manually as a folder)* add your image that is less then 250kilobytes and matches your screen resolution and rename it into *backgroundDefault.jpg*

  Twitter used to even let you have a custom accent with hex colours. It doesn't anymore, I don't even know when it stopped being a possibility :( I miss it all. I wish I could make my own website because I know you still can, but I don't know enough about CSS or HTML to be able to :(

  there could be also a reason that someone would put something inappropriate like some pics of harmful pictures or xxx videos , or maybe even some sounds that could give a panic attack. . and also people love minimalistic stuff we can see it not only in programs or sites but also in logos or posters , perhaps it is also because its easier to read but i still like the vibe of 2000s graphics more ^^

  I thought Windows 7 theme options still exist in newer Windows. I wanted to find them on my newer computers again but I thought I forgot where they are when I couldn't. I wanted to change cursor and sound effects.

  You can change your cursor's color in accessibility and for sound effects you're gonna want to go into system, sound settings, and then scroll to the very bottom for more sound settings and when that window opens click sounds at the very top

  i live in italy where the whole “green bubble vs blue bubble” thing is not relevant because everybody uses Whatsapp. i remember one of my first smartphones being the Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo and wishing the UI looked more minimalistic and aesthetic like an iphone, heck, i even paid a custom keyboard that mimicked the design and downloaded themes that made your apps look like apple’s. that was i think because at that time, the internet used to look a lot less “clean” and seeing something so simple in design was actually refreshing. THAT BEING SAID, after many years of being an android user i wanted to try something new, purchasing both an iphone 13 mini and a 9th generation ipad almost 2 years ago. IMO, apple’s minimalistic approach does no longer matter, because as stated in this video, everywhere now you see that same style. now that i switched and many years have passed, i actually miss the fun of being able to just fuck around on my phone

  I was in middle school during the Myspace heyday. In the week leading up to a long weekend, I would spend class time doodling sketches of a new Myspace layout I wanted to make. I taught myself HTML, CSS, and how to use GIMP (since Photoshop was a single $800 purchase back then). Eventually when I got my own digital camera, I would do selfie shoots on the regular - and you KNOW that every single sleepover was also a photoshoot. I eventually got so good at making Myspace layouts that my profile didn't even look like Myspace at all 😂 there are a couple designs that still stand out in my mind because, funny enough, I made them very minimalist with basically just one scrollable square in the middle of the page with all my info, and then used the rest of the real estate to display whatever GIMP collage I'd worked on for 24 hours straight. I had a Geocities website for a minute too, and a XANGA!!! Why does no one ever mention Xanga in these videos 😂 Edit: I just had another middle school memory pertaining to customization. Apple had some deal with schools back then, so every computer was an Apple computer. In the library or computer lab or wherever, the first thing you would ALWAYS do was change the color of the windows/menus. It honestly felt like an battle with your own classmates sometimes. "Ugh who would choose ORANGE?? Obviously it needs to be pink!" Lol

  I personally don’t usually like themes. Having something be based purely on one style or figure is a little too much for me. I do miss the customization old software had though. I wish there was still the option to completely change the look of all modern software to match our unique personalities, and not have everything be the same. Kudos to the few companies that still allow it.

  Everyone says this loooking back “I miss when phones was so creative” but this was just an era of flops because no one was actually purchasing them. Also if there was a reality where all these different phones were commercially successful it would be a living hell for app developers trying to format their apps to all these different systems and OSs. Even in gaming where there’s mainly just 3 consoles and PC a lot of games that get ported to all systems don’t even bother to integrate each consoles unique features and gimmicks into their games
