No clue why I keep watching But I tune in . I think it’s a weird subconscious thing that I may want a slight more luxury in my life. I never chased it. I couldn’t careless but I do appreciate quality and experience. Owning a Rolex, or flying first class, or buying box seats, bottle service are some kinds of experiences I could appreciate it

I feel like there be less of a reason to pay a premium with a second hand dealer who is not an AD, when the Rolex Certified Pre Owned program is rolled out more broadly. I bought my first, a 116710LN full set from their CPO program through a large, reputable AD. Cost me a couple thousand more than what you see them for on Chrono24. Considering that you should have a vintage or slightly older second-hand piece sent in, I'd have been looking at around that range for a full service on the GMT by Rolex anyway. You're paying roughly the same but getting a 2 year international warranty, a service from Rolex directly and that sweet, sweet peace of mind. Generally, the second hand costs seem to be quite fair compared to the overall market, although it varies between AD's as they set prices. Would be interested to hear your thoughts.
It depends on the price. £1000-2000 more to have it from cpo, then sure it’s worth it. But some of the prices I’ve seen the AD’s asking for cpo watches are ridiculous

I like the Explorer II since it’s more understated (with the black dial), and thus lends itself more to the role of being an actual travel companion that you can go on adventures/EXPLORE with. The GMT Master 2 is one of the most hype Rolex models, so good luck actually taking it anywhere interesting/traveling with it. Not a problem with the Explorer 2. Very well might be my next Rolex.

Sure, at the pub know one will know the Patek except real watch enthusiasts but then, some of us don´t need to boast with a watch and would rather fly under the radar that's why I got rid of my Explorer and bought a Grand Seiko. Six years on I have no regrets!

Argh, I wish the algorithm would stop recommended this shite. To the people watching this; modern Rolex watches aren’t rare and aren’t investments. Rolex makes more watches annually than anyone else, twice as many as Omega and rumour has it as many as the next 3 top manufacturers put together. If you’re after investment pieces you have to look at rare vintage Rolex sold mostly at auctions like every other investment pieces (art, cars, etc). Everything else is clickbait. Edit: and if you’re after the best Submariner, it’s the Submariner’s older big brother, the Sea Dweller 16600.
Just wonder if he got them to wear & enjoy or to just make a profit.
