Regarding Canada ( 22:00 ), look up "Little Sisters Book and Art Emporium v. Canada (Minister of Justice), [2000] 2 S.C.R. 1120". There is also a film called "Better than Chocolate (1999)" which is a fictionalization of it, but I mention just to emphasize that the obscenity rules in Canada are arbitrary and random at best. See also "Canada Border Services Agency's Policy on the Classification of Obscene Material Memorandum D9-1-1" (2017) cit: 12. The courts have found that some of the material that the CBSA deals with is quite complex and difficult to evaluate. Since attempts to provide exhaustive instances of obscenity have failed, the only practical alternative for the courts was to strive towards a more abstract definition of obscenity that is contextually sensitive. In order for material to qualify as “obscene,” the exploitation of sex must not only be a dominant characteristic, but such exploitation must be “undue.” In determining whether the exploitation of sex will be considered to be “undue,” the courts have provided specific tests: the community standard of tolerance test and the internal necessities test or artistic merit defence (Butler v. Her Majesty the Queen and Little Sisters Book and Art Emporium v. Canada (Minister of Justice)).

Almost everyone who watched his video with Charlie (the vast majority of whom watched it months before he even made the pinned comment, a comment which he edited and had accidentally unpinned for a while it seems) would not have seen the recantation. That's obvious to anyone with a tenth of a brain. Instead of quietly doing that and exonerating himself of any wrongdoing in the process after privately saying "my bad, i fucked up, i'll see if I can make another video with Charlie" (and not following through because he couldn't see a way to selfishly profit from the situation), he should have (a) removed the original video entirely, and (b) edited and re-published the same video to his main channel in a way that would be visible to his followers. By adding a short segment at the start of such a video, he could have quickly cleared the air about what he said and admit his own wrongdoing - and he would have likely gotten more views from easy-to-make recycled content. It would have been so easy to avoid all this. But he acted (and acts) like a child who got caught with their hand in the cookie jar and says they apologized after saying "oops, i messed up, you caught me in a compromising position, big L for me, maybe you shouldn't have had a cookie jar out there, but i might make a real apology if i can get my allowance" instead of actually apologizing.

The age of consent in Japan was recently raised federally to coincide with the prefectures only a year or so ago. There is child marriage in the US so I don't know why people were so shocked about Japanese consent laws anyway.
Other countries have the unrestricted age of consent even lower. In Japan, the age of consent being 14 was applied to a small region, not the entire country.
For 31:51 , I would argue that Nux did not do enough of an apology. Let's bring up a case that's about almost a year old to this date called Gamers Nexus vs Linus Tech Tips in which GN called out LTT for inaccuracies among other things, but the part that links to here is that LTT subtly edited their videos with incorrect information with captions and pinned comments that had the correct information, yet never to the point they made a second video to address the errors. It was found that LTT efforts did very little at all unless a person is actively watching the video for that information which eventually led to their whole restructuring. So, Nux doing his apologies on a podcast that only himself was related to on some manner and for a tiny bit as a side topic with no name drops, private DMs, yet in comparison to putting an actual video with proper apologies in public sight with viewers who most likely relate to the topic, is to say not a fair shake at an apology. My own apologies for this long comment, but if there ever is a mistake or error and a genuine apology or correction is being made for it, then at least do it right.
I don't expect Nux to apologise - the best apology would be for him to self-graduate (and that obviously isn't going to happen) , at least I won't lose any content to watch , I watched maybe two of his videos. I can easily replace Nux as my source of Vtuber-news with *Revsaysdesu* and *Kirsche* .

Just one thing, i dont think you did this purposefully and definitely not with malice, but not a fan of when you use ava’s dead name (especially referencing post name changing events). It is difficult because she did make it her middle name, but it gives the idea of pronouns and names being a thing that trans people have to earn and is allowed to be taken away from them if a person disagrees with them. Events pre name change is definitely grey, and different trans people have different opinions on it. As long as it isnt malicious most dont have a problem

I have a question about the vtuber Tyga who got banned. Off of KZread. Since it has been proven he didn't violate any policies in KZread is still refusing to fix his account his account was making him a income or money. So couldn't he Sue KZread for loss of income and damages. Could he also if he's able to find the individuals who did this file charges against them as well I know a detective figured out who they were because he was being investigated because they made false accusations about him being with a minor which was not true matter of fact the detective found out who was harassing him and that the accusations of him being more a minor were false. So these individuals who have planned this who have done this couldn't they face jail time if they are caught?
It's done by bots you have to be big enough to contact staff for youtube. For twitch it's useally gets to a live person if you fight enough. The fact that he's still banned either means he's not fighting it or he was caught in the act. Heck it's only 7 days for mating on stream.
For me the most annoying part about the Nux thing, is he should know better after how he was treated during all the Vshojo stuff. Granted he wasn't entirely innocent in that case, but he was treated way worse by a lot of people than he deserved. Then he turns around and does the same thing to Taiga? I've never heard of taiga and I don't really care about this, but whether it should get the attention it needs should be handled between both parties involved, behind closed doors, rather than being subjected to the bias of the audience. In my opinion, no one is going to be happy even if the apology reaches more people. Whatever happened, happened. Nux has apologized, perhaps in a smaller setting, but do we need to cancel someone for apologizing?
Frankly the hate is being directed by two smaller youtubers that's has a grudge vs nux. Hateful opinion who made the 1 hour 30 min hit peice and rezsaydesu who reacted to out of context parts To make nux looks as bad as possible. Rev has issues with nux anti loli stance and the two been feeding. Hateful is a very small channal that blames nux for the eventual downfall of taiga.

As a lurker from Taiga's fanbase, I want to thank you for signal boosting this situation. Their mental health has many of us worried for them, but beyond that, it's good to see them happy about the support. Taiga put out a thank you to all the people supporting them, and I feel it's only right that the video creators who covered this situation hear it too; they're struggling to keep above water, and we - as in his fans - are trying to do our best in lifting him up and showing our own support. Coverage from people wholly unrelated to the situation is a wonderful thing to see, and again, thank you for speaking about this topic.
