Blue Angels counter G-force using breathing techniques ONLY! They canNOT and do NOT use “G-Suits” per the position of controls unique to THEIR aircraft necessary to perform special maneuvers.

I've seen almost every team mentioned, including the 2 small aircraft & pilots, from James Bond. My dad's entire life, revolved around fighters, bombers, as both an engineer, and supervised Rockwell's, "Rosy Riveters." What broke his heart back then? He was friend's with the original Thunderbird pilots! And all of them were dead, in quick succession - I can't recall if all in combat or afterwards in shows, but he would breakdown. But he took me, ever since an infant, te every Thunderbird and Blue Angels display, if in a show near us. I've probably seen them more than thirty times. Add the Arrows and 'Hawks?" I think the Angels had another dreadful mishap the other year, so off my balcony, and in the pool, we all heard, then saw the Arrows fly in, for the Long Beach Air Show! I live in airspace between John Wayne and Long Beach, so we get to hear all the jets, plus used to be the Space Shuttles, come booming in! But the Arrows, Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, all have to do these beautiful, elliptical swathes to slow down, before landing at any airport around here! Which I love.

I was wondering why there were so many replays at 06:13 when it was just a bunch of pilots standing around. And then I looked to the left.
Was a Navy Hospital Corpsman stationed at the Medical Clinic on NAS Pensacola in 1985 which is the home-base of the Blue Angels. That same year they lost one of their pilots LCDR Gershon in a crash during an Air Show in my hometown of Niagara Falls, which my late brother had witnessed. Mood around the Base was depressed for a while, later that year they had a Change Of Command Ceremony at the National Naval Aviation Museum on Base, and I had the privilege of being the Medical Attendedant. During the Ceremony they held a beautiful Memorial for LCDR Gershon, being from Niagara Falls, and is an event that I will always remember.

The latest Blue Angel documentary disagrees - Blue Angels pilots do NOT pre-flight their planes. Probably the only pilots ever to do that.
I've been told by pilots that the main reason the Blue Angels don't use G-suits is the design and location of the joystick in the F-18, (it's located between the legs and you control the aircraft by moving the joystick). As the G-suit inflates and deflates it interferes with the fine control of the joystick which is needed given how close they are flying in formation (unlike combat flying). The Thunderbirds fly the F-16 which has the joystick located on the side, which doesn't move but reacts instead to pressure the pilot applies to it to control the craft. Thus G-suit inflation and deflation is less likely to interfere with the fine control needed in close formation flying.
I grayed out in an AT 6. Joy ride. Lost vision but I could still hear. Just for a couple of seconds. I knew it was coming . Pilot told me to do the grunt routine. I did.
Red bull air racers pull 7 gs but short time. Not extended time. No g suits
My late husband was a storekeeper for the blue angels in the sixties. He loved the navy and the blues.💙

I was aboard 2 carriers in the early and mid 70's..CVA 60 and 62. To say that the food was horrible is an understatement
And once discharged, they can go work for any cruise line.
I was in the Army. I've eaten in USAF and USN facilities as well. The best food I had was when I was TDY at Norfolk Naval Station and I was lucky enough to eat there on Navy Day. Hats off to them! If you're gonna be at sea for months you at least deserve the best food.
