Can US Navy Sailors BE INTIMATE Aboard A Nuclear Aircraft Carrier?

Can US Navy Sailors Be Intimate Aboard A Nuclear Aircraft Carrier?
The US Navy aircraft carrier is a floating city, a self-contained world where sailors live, work, and fight. The ship is home to thousands of sailors, all of whom have one goal in mind: to complete their mission and return home safely. But when more than 5,000 sailors live on an aircraft carrier, where do they sleep? How do they experience intimate moments with so many crew members on board?
The cramped bedrooms of thousands of US Navy sailors aboard an aircraft carrier may not seem like an exciting topic, but they are a testament to the dedication and sacrifice of the men and women who serve our country. These sailors live in incredibly close quarters, with bunk beds stacked on top of each other and hardly any room to move around.
Despite being on a mission and busy enough to defend the country, the sailors will also need intimacy and privacy. But it is against Navy regulations for sailors to engage in intimate activity while on a deployed aircraft carrier. The tight living quarters and lack of privacy make it nearly impossible to maintain the level of professionalism required for the safety and success of the ship's mission.
That being said, it is not uncommon for sailors to form romantic relationships while on deployment. The stress and isolation of being at sea for months at a time can bring people closer together, and it is not uncommon for sailors to develop strong bonds with their shipmates.

Of course, "realations" happen on Navy ships. When I was in Europe, I read a story in Stars and Stripes about a female E-4 on an aircraft carrier that docked in Italy on a Med cruise. The E-4 showed up at the local credit union with 2 Marine bodyguards in tow. She made a cash deposit for over $20,000. Of course, this seemed suspicious to the teller, and the credit union called the air craft carrier commander. Needless to say, the female sailors' side business came to light.

Back in the mid 90's when I was in the Navy my ship the USS Independence CV-62 was going on a short cruise and they had a few exchange personnel onboard that was female (it's an all male crew of 5K with airwing). I was working in Legal and we got a female from Atsugi Naval Base that worked security. Well since we only have PO's as working with MA's they put her in the legal office. My job for two weeks pretty much was meet her at her door at 7am and escort her around as she worked in the office with us but I had to go any where she went and than end of the 12 hours leave her at the room she was assigned (it was an airwing officer pilots birthing room as I think we didn't have airwing on at the time). This was after some stuff had happen and they didn't want anything to happen to her. Well when we pulled back in she asked what I was doing....we spent the whole weekend fucking pretty much before she went back to her base. Guess it paid off not hitting on her those two weeks lol

I served on the Indy too. 1975-1979, back when she was home ported in Norfolk Virginia. I was a snipe...Boiler Technician and spent MANY hours climbing through all of the nooks and crannies of that ship. I once climbed the uptakes all the way to the flight deck from the main space...appearing right behind the "62" on the superstructure...that was some climbing! We used to use the uptakes (mass fans blowing air through the boiler rooms and exhausting out the stack on the superstructure) to dry our laundry. No one trusted the ships laundry so we did our own. The laundry would dry in record time there! Women didn't serve on board back then. There are many, many places to hide with someone and be alone.

When we were in port, every now and then I'd invite the woman I was dating to come aboard. She'd often come and visit on the days/nights that I had duty. She'd join me in the wardroom for dinner and after dinner we'd "retire" to my stateroom. I'd lock the door and we'd get very intimate. She couldn't be aboard while we were underway, but she was waiting on the pier when I returned. Then we'd go to her house.....................

Intimate relations are prohibited in all the branches od service in our Armed Forces, it compromises the effectivity of the unit they serve and they'll be held accountable under the UCMJ. Now You know why everytime they make a port call and get liberty they behave like wild beasts, they drink like there's no tomorrow, they fight with anyone about some stupid things and they visit the brothels in search of "love" at least for one night. Not everyone behave like these, others go to see historic sites, take pictures with their budies because at the end of their careers they'll still have the memories and pictures. It's said that "a Servicemembers don't make friends during his/her service, he/she makes brothers, sisters and they become family. The ones who get deployed to an Air Craft Carrier have almost no time for themselves, the most important thing is to do things right, receive mail, have chow,(eat, the food on ships and submarines are excellent), have a shower and sleep. You can be at the flight deck for 12-18 hrs even in peace time or war, the punishment that Your body receive is brutal, if You're assigned to FMF,(Fleet Marine Force), You run drills 24 hrs/day because You can deploy at a moments norice, You even dream of Your job. Our Servicemen and Servicewoman sacrifice everything they have of behalf of our Country and our way of life. They're excellent "human beings" specially when they're under fire. I was on an aircraft carrier - there are plenty young men with ample cash flow as well as "fan rooms" and other secret spaces for rendezvous so yeah it happens. Every once in a while you will hear about a "prostitution ring" on a carrier - seriously. Actually, during our sea trials some civilian contractors were onboard and I heard them banging it out in the small private stateroom room next to mine that they were staying in. Much more common is sailors rubbing it out in the bathroom stalls or their racks with the curtain closed I'd say.

Wow! You did pick a totally unauthorized topic! As a US Navy veteran who served aboard USS Ranger CV-61. I can't imagine a time when such relationships onboard would EVER be acceptable to the US Navy. When people asked what I thought about women on warships at sea? I talked about male and female crews. I have always thought mixed gender ships are a bad idea. Supposedly I'm wrong, but the average age of a crew member onboard USS RANGER, when I served onboard was 19 years. Asking both genders to exist side by side, in such an intense social environment? It's totally unrealistic, to expect people not to be people. That prohibition just makes such unauthorized activities more FUN! A factor that's EXTREMELY bad for discipline overall. So what really happens, is the creation of a culture of silence. A culture of silence, creates an environment ripe for sexual assault and sexual harassment. I wouldn't be surprised if the biggest problem with discipline on warships today, are those problems.

The girls that got pregnant were given the option to sign a statement that the baby was not conceived on the Navy ship. Don’t know how many babies were conceived on the ship. Around 30 women got pregnant just before a West PAC, so they didn’t have to go on the West Pac

Gay sailors never seemed to have problem before women were on board. Aircraft carriers are huge. There has to be empty compartments somewhere. The ships I was on were a lot smaller. A Deep Sea Salvage Tug has a crew of 40 or so and no room for anything. A Destroyer Escort, with a bigger crew is hardly any any better. Small ships big seas great fun. Then I got on the River Boats in "Nam. Those memories are a mix of apprehension, terror, horror and, if you are still alive, satisfaction. These make for great nightmares.
