LOVE Tracey and there's no-one she can't mimic, but this is my least favorite impression she's done. Normally her performances are nuanced yet hilarious but this felt forced and nothing like Celine 😕

I can’t believe that people who grew up with this, Dame Edna, Tootsie, Mrs Doubtfire and Peter Pan played by a grown woman are now freaking out about drag queens. One of Tracey’s characters here is a guy. I don’t remember anyone getting upset about it. If you grew up in the 80s and 90s, you saw plenty of drag queens, most of them actually in shows and movies that were for kids. And now it’s a big deal. If you saw Dame Edna go through someone’s underwear drawer, a drag queen reading a bedtime story should be the least of your worries. 😂

Americans satirizing British people is usually one note. The stereotypic accent, the assumption that everyone talks like Prince Andrew with a bad case of hemorrhoids, the tea and crumpets - caricatures that to the average British person probably makes them go, "huh?" As a Canadian, I get that a lot. Americans satirizing us makes us wonder where the joke actually is. Oh right, they're trying to sound like they're from Ontario. Kind of. Got it. But never send a British person, male or female to satirize Americans. They'll be accurate, hilarious and go in hard. An American trying to do an impression of a specific British person will probably sound like the last impression of someone from the UK that did 5 minutes ago. That's why I'm glad I grew up with British television - mostly stuff from the 70s and 80s, but a few from the 90s are excellent as well. Granted, if I were a British actor or comedian, I'd want to work in the US. There's more money there. I'll probably have to dumb down the comedy for that audience, but I could forgive myself when I'm rolling in dough.
