It's not uncommon in anime, or anime-like games to have a lot of references, and Hoyo is doing it in every game. I rarely see authors credit the source of inspiration for their characters. Doing it will ruin the fun in finding it yourself or speculate about it. I can recognize the names of some Melusines from different European countries folk tales, which is an interesting touch.

Just for more proof of the counterparts, we have Murata Himeko in Honkai Impact 3rd, Himeko in Honkai Star Rail, and Murata the (unreleased) pyro archon in Genshin. They all have connections through their names and Himeko and Murata Himeko both look similar so it’s not far off that Murata does too. Seeing this it’s not too unreasonable that Sparkle is a counterpart to colombina.

This might mean absolutely nothing but I find interesting the fact that Columbina shares the same CN VA with Black Swan (Star Rail) and Aponia (Honkai Impact 3rd). As I said this might mean nothing but CN VAs sometimes voice the same character across games for example Acheron (Star Rail), Raiden Ei (Genshin Impact), and Raiden Mei (Honkai Impact 3rd) share the same CN VA.

It's a tangent, but i am thoroughly obssessed with venti and columbina being foils of each other thematically. The way they both have a superficially naive and youthful exterior but mysterious powers and secrets hinted to be underneath, the angelic imagery and gauzy/feathery white aesthetics, and most interestingly (to me at least) their respective associations with death, transcience, and song -- I'm not sure to what end these thematic parallels exist or even if they are purely coincidental, but if they are intentional they open up an interesting rabbit hole of implications about the game's universe.

video criticism, how about we don't use sparkles attention stealing flashy demo during the theory explanation, it clashes heavily with your intended slow talk form of video. I couldn't hear anything because of it, had to turn on subtitles to have something to focus on. Anyway your theory is nice, certainly has points. But just by the choice of song during la signora funeral, I doubt columbina is gonna be a path of elation if sparkle is supposed to be deadpool, I don't play star rail btw, I'm basing this on whatever has been presented. Maybe columbina can be crazy who knows, but she ain't gonna be sparkle in your face crazy. At least she knows the time and place to stop chasing fun. but the trickery and background character part interested me. The ability to just slip out of focus perhaps.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that she wont be just like her, thats why i said two sides of the same coin. I'm thinking more an unnerving little girl who is not at all what she appears to be. Asides from that you can hardly take how some portrays them self at a funeral to be how they actually behave most of the time. None of the Harbingers who we have met already, when they were in that scene seemed really like them self at all. Anyway glad the subtitles were useful and thanks for watching.

Amazing theory! Her power has been hinted by Scaramouche to be something related with conscience...So i think instead of outright transformation she can posses the power of illusion and false dreams or memories,she can enter your head and make you see whatever she wants you to see and can even manipulate you into thinking you are living in the regular world and barely anything has changed when in reality you are under her spell. She is the most intriguing character for me and am saving to C6 R5 her one day, can't wait to see her go off!🔥

That’s a good theory, but considering what Wanderer and Childe say: Let me ask: what should you do if you were to encounter a "damsel" who is oblivious and innocent at any given time, and unconcerned and unfeeling in any given situation? If it were me, I could at least challenge her to a fight. But if it were you... with your conscience, I would stay away from her. -Wanderer The Fatui Harbingers are ranked by strength, and I have no idea why that girl is No. 3. I'd test my skills with every Harbinger who ranks above me if I had the chance, but when it comes to her... something just doesn't feel right. Anyway, you should be careful around her. -Childe Now, Wanderer implied that for whatever reason he would be able to at least challenge her to a duel, but we wouldn’t, and Childe says that he doesn’t know why she’s No. 3. (implying that he has never seen her fight/use her abilities) but that he still doesn’t want to challenge her because "something doesn’t feel right" so this makes me believe that Columbina can just make humans not want to fight her, because she’s too "innocent" (Wanderer even refers to her as that) or whatever, think of it like a siren’s call, after all it would fit with her Fatui title, "Damselette," a Damsel pretending to be in distress, cursing humans who wish to fight her to only feel kindness/pity towards her or something like that, that would explain why Wanderer says that he can challenge her since he’s a puppet, aka obviously not human, and it would explain why Childe, who wants to fight EVERYONE he comes across and isn’t scared by anything can’t bring himself to challenge her, he’s already under her control and he doesn’t even know it. I feel as though Venti gave him a slightly different one to mark him as different and that the costume design featured just a generic regular Mondstadt one. Of course this would be wishful thinking maybe it was a mistake. I would probably check the way it was drawn in the manga compared to everyone else's to see if they maintained the difference. That would lend credence to the idea that it was deliberate.

Ah you missed something about the whole Gnosis situation as we've seen before Venti can teleport but when La Signora took his gnosis Venti didn't fight back and he didn't teleport away it's like he wanted La Signora to take his gnosis Oh and the Isthraoth theory you know the one where Isthraoth created Venti and in that sense Venti is Isthraoths son

Yeah the way I understood it from what Skirk said was that the Primordial Sea does literally contribute to the sea levels its just the source of the sea as a concept I guess. So when it was getting slurped up the world's oceans just went completely haywire. Rising and falling in a very short time. Hope that helps.

Venti certainly knows a lot more than he leads on. In a conversarion with Vanessa in the comics, when she inquired about Celestia, Venti is shown tp have rather unfond memories. That aside, Alice may use of a word that comes from Earth, but so did Venti, again in the comics. Before Vanessa ascended to Celestia, she inquired Venti if she'll become a god, to which Venti replied by mentioning three entities related to myths of creation from Earth, such as Pangu from taoism, Purusha in hinduism and Ymir from Norse mythology. Venti knows of all poems of Teyvat whether it be from the past, present or future, but nothing says of how he even knows of Earth mythology

Amy is no different, Lisa is no different, Bennet will be no different and kaeya will be no different Despite his extremely important status as a living khaenrian. The Traveler is unaffected by Irminsul because their status as a Descender places them outside of the things that Irminsul has control over. The Loom of Fate is also outside of Irminsul's control since it can make its own Ley Lines unaffiliated with those created by Irminsul. I would imagine if the Loom of Fate became a new world tree to replace Irminsul, the Traveler would no longer have Descender status because they would be a part of the world woven by the Loom of Fate. Which...may be what happened to the sibling if this is some sort of ongoing cycle.

I kinda hate that this quest is super short and mostly uneventful. I miss the first Dain quest we had where we had to fight for our life trying to escape and enter that domain and fight our first Abyss Lector.

Here’s a general lore theory of something that might be common knowledge, but I’ve never heard mentioned. I think the two things you need to control the fate of Teyvat are a God and a Sword of Reason (usually a descender). Since the beginning of the game, the Fatui and the Abyss have both been working on God creation in the background. Hell, it’s the entire reason cited in the pale flame set for Dottore being recruited to the Fatui. Contrast the attempt to corrupt and control Osial with Balladeer as the God of Wisdom. Both of these were just prototypes, though. Meanwhile, both sides are also working on constructing their own “Sword of Reason”. The Abyss needs forged one by making the loom of fate, meanwhile the Fatui are gathering the pieces of a descender - probably for the purpose of forging their own. Narzissenkreuz attempted the same thing. Gods collect the will/worship of their people, and he was attempting to entirely subsume the people of Fontaine. Once that was completed, he would have been a God (in the process of forging his own Sword of Reason.) This was the only way he saw to escape fate - being able to rewrite it. Lends some credence to all the theories suggesting Paimon is a god (who knows which one though, lol). Because that would give us both a descender and a God in our faction as well.

Paimon is 100% a god, there are a bunch of hints in game that she has ties to celestia, down to her very design. Hell, she even jokes in the traveler's voicelines about being the god of protection, and that might actually not be too far-fetched from what she actually is So if your theory is correct, then we already have all elements to control fate in our hands, to "reweave fate" as dainsleif said in travail. Maybe the Loom of Fate plays a big factor in this aswell

Asides from that you can hardly take how some portrays them self at a funeral to be how they actually behave most of the time. Amazing theory! Her power has been hinted by Scaramouche to be something related with conscience...So i think instead of outright transformation she can posses the power of illusion and false dreams or memories,she can enter your head and make you see whatever she wants you to see and can even manipulate you into thinking you are living in the regular world and barely anything has changed when in reality you are under her spell. She is the most intriguing character for me and am saving to C6 R5 her one day, can't wait to see her go off!🔥

I'd test my skills with every Harbinger who ranks above me if I had the chance, but when it comes to her... something just doesn't feel right. Anyway, you should be careful around her. -Childe Now, Wanderer implied that for whatever reason he would be able to at least challenge her to a duel, but we wouldn’t, and Childe says that he doesn’t know why she’s No. 3. (implying that he has never seen her fight/use her abilities) but that he still doesn’t want to challenge her because "something doesn’t feel right" so this makes me believe that Columbina can just make humans not want to fight her, because she’s too "innocent" (Wanderer even refers to her as that) or whatever, think of it like a siren’s call, after all it would fit with her Fatui title, "Damselette," a Damsel pretending to be in distress, cursing humans who wish to fight her to only feel kindness/pity towards her or something like that, that would explain why Wanderer says that he can challenge her since he’s a puppet, aka obviously not human, and it would explain why Childe, who wants to fight EVERYONE he comes across and isn’t scared by anything can’t bring himself to challenge her, he’s already under her control and he doesn’t even know it. (Btw im making this comment before watching the video so if "The Unlikely Genshin Gamer" said the exact same thing then we just had the same idea lol)

Is that a designer's mistake or how to read it?
I feel as though Venti gave him a slightly different one to mark him as different and that the costume design featured just a generic regular Mondstadt one. Of course this would be wishful thinking maybe it was a mistake. I would probably check the way it was drawn in the manga compared to everyone else's to see if they maintained the difference. That would lend credence to the idea that it was deliberate.

Ah you missed something about the whole Gnosis situation as we've seen before Venti can teleport but when La Signora took his gnosis Venti didn't fight back and he didn't teleport away it's like he wanted La Signora to take his gnosis Oh and the Isthraoth theory you know the one where Isthraoth created Venti and in that sense Venti is Isthraoths son

Except the 5 sinners name and the power of loom of fate there is nothing much about lore or any questions left like other Dainsleif quest do. Honestly in my opinion this archon quest is pretty much simple just like a bedtime story.

Yeah the way I understood it from what Skirk said was that the Primordial Sea does literally contribute to the sea levels its just the source of the sea as a concept I guess. So when it was getting slurped up the world's oceans just went completely haywire. Rising and falling in a very short time. Hope that helps.

Venti certainly knows a lot more than he leads on. In a conversarion with Vanessa in the comics, when she inquired about Celestia, Venti is shown tp have rather unfond memories. That aside, Alice may use of a word that comes from Earth, but so did Venti, again in the comics. Before Vanessa ascended to Celestia, she inquired Venti if she'll become a god, to which Venti replied by mentioning three entities related to myths of creation from Earth, such as Pangu from taoism, Purusha in hinduism and Ymir from Norse mythology. Venti knows of all poems of Teyvat whether it be from the past, present or future, but nothing says of how he even knows of Earth mythology

Amy is no different, Lisa is no different, Bennet will be no different and kaeya will be no different Despite his extremely important status as a living khaenrian. He probably won't be relevant in the main story
Except monstadt has characters with hella deep backstories that still has yet to be touched on. -Lisa being the best scholar from sumeru in decades -Albedo's creator being rhindottir -Venti being the most suspicious archon -Klee's mother being the most powerful mage in teyvat

I'm curious how powerful this loom of fate ? Why traveler affected by memory erasure, we know traveler is a Descender.
The Traveler is unaffected by Irminsul because their status as a Descender places them outside of the things that Irminsul has control over. The Loom of Fate is also outside of Irminsul's control since it can make its own Ley Lines unaffiliated with those created by Irminsul. I would imagine if the Loom of Fate became a new world tree to replace Irminsul, the Traveler would no longer have Descender status because they would be a part of the world woven by the Loom of Fate. Which...may be what happened to the sibling if this is some sort of ongoing cycle.
another thing that really caught my attention is that in neuvillette's voiceline abt venti he called him "god of hope", I think that in itself is quite telling. venti will likely have a hand in some kind of fate-changing shit in the future
I kinda hate that this quest is super short and mostly uneventful. I miss the first Dain quest we had where we had to fight for our life trying to escape and enter that domain and fight our first Abyss Lector.
Here’s a general lore theory of something that might be common knowledge, but I’ve never heard mentioned. I think the two things you need to control the fate of Teyvat are a God and a Sword of Reason (usually a descender). Since the beginning of the game, the Fatui and the Abyss have both been working on God creation in the background. Hell, it’s the entire reason cited in the pale flame set for Dottore being recruited to the Fatui. Contrast the attempt to corrupt and control Osial with Balladeer as the God of Wisdom. Both of these were just prototypes, though. Meanwhile, both sides are also working on constructing their own “Sword of Reason”. The Abyss needs forged one by making the loom of fate, meanwhile the Fatui are gathering the pieces of a descender - probably for the purpose of forging their own. Narzissenkreuz attempted the same thing. Gods collect the will/worship of their people, and he was attempting to entirely subsume the people of Fontaine. Once that was completed, he would have been a God (in the process of forging his own Sword of Reason.) This was the only way he saw to escape fate - being able to rewrite it. Lends some credence to all the theories suggesting Paimon is a god (who knows which one though, lol). Because that would give us both a descender and a God in our faction as well.
Paimon is 100% a god, there are a bunch of hints in game that she has ties to celestia, down to her very design. Hell, she even jokes in the traveler's voicelines about being the god of protection, and that might actually not be too far-fetched from what she actually is So if your theory is correct, then we already have all elements to control fate in our hands, to "reweave fate" as dainsleif said in travail. Maybe the Loom of Fate plays a big factor in this aswell
