Love vienna as a american. I spent many holiday seasons in Vienna. My Favorite city.... wish I could live there.
👍😊
Нацисткая, фащистская германская империя - возрождается...
The Berlin Schloss is not Nazi Germany
Cool!
Absolutely stunning renderings, very impressive you still upload.
Thank You 😊
Wonderful as per. Mind telling me the name of the architectural style 0:06?
You mean Schönbrunn First Project? Baroque style...
I loved the reconstruction, but this modern, boring, ugly facade was a big mistake and later replaced with the original facade!
A interesting building, a open and magnificent room in middle of the nature 👏
Prachtige tentoonstelling. Doe verder!
Bedankt! Doe ik 😊...
Wow awesome! Thank you for sharing this!!
Wow cool! why did you make it like that. Which architecture code book are you following? Solomon ?
There is no code, system or A.I. involved. I just used my imagination. I started with a new SketchUp file, made a few arcades, added some Ionic columns (which I had made for another 3D model a few years ago) and so it kept growing following the ideas that popped up. I would be able to do this kind of work using just paper and a pencil, but of course the perspective and the shades wouldn't be perfect
You might have some code or system you are not aware of then lol collective unconscious ? or maybe God is speaking to you? You know like Solomon or Ezekiel :-)@@markpieters
Maybe... We probably all are a part of The Matrix 😊
Maybe you are of the 12 tribes too ? the bloodline of the Temple Builders @@markpieters
Not as far as I know...
👍
Wow! That would be a beautiful church and the garden is a perfect setting 👌
The building would probably be a mausoleum, and not a church...
@@markpieters Oh yes, mausoleum would fit much better!
Similar to that i imagine chateau marly le roi. So sad that this palace is lost 😩
Indeed, Chatsworth's Cascade was built only a few years after the one at Marly...
@@markpieters I think Chatsworth House comes quite close to Chateau Marly how it looked like
The style and general form of Marly was similar, but the exterior was painted in 'tromp l' oeil', which was never so in Chatsworth.
The whole building reminds me to Potsdam - Neues Palais .
You are right! Frederick the Great knew Paul Decker's engravings. The plans for the Neues Palais were influenced by Decker's projects. Also, notice the colonnades on both sides of the 'Princely Palace': there were similar colonnades at the Potsdam Stadtschloss, one of which was partly reconstructed a few years ago.
@@markpieters Wonderful, Neues Palais is one of my favorite palaces from the 18th century and i'm so glad that they rebuilt the Stadtschloss and that they are reconstructing the whole city center. Looks so much more beautiful
I love the wonderful baroque rooms with al the frescos and stucco work. The facades are beautiful too, but it would look more impressive with french or dutch gardens
A few important parts of the original Baroque gardens still exist, like the Cascade and the Canal. The lawn in front of the house used to be an ornate parterre, which partly became visible again a few years ago after a period of drought. There is a video about this ('History revealed')
Very impressive! The whole composition fits. The architecture, the garden and the music ❤
Thank You 😊
Wow, really gorgeous!
I like the symbiosis of nature and art.
So does God
So beautiful!
Please keep making those
I will...😊
Sensational work. Both investigation and creation. Thank you Mark!
Thanks! 😊
Many thanks for the upload. Greetings. AA❤😊
What game is this?
It' s not a game, but a virtual reconstruction of an 18th C. Baroque garden...
@@markpieters are you the one recreating the structure?
Yes, I made the 3D model in SketchUp, based on old engravings.
@@markpietersever played the sims 4 to design buildings?
No, I am not a gamer myself, I only make architecture in SketchUp
What a delightful building. Thank you for bringing it to life.
The architect never saw it like this ...
Sehr schön, Mark ❤😊
Danke!
Why call it ""Humboldt Forum"" ? Why not "Schlueter Forum" or "Prussia Forum" ? Why give it any strange ""name"" in the first place ? It is the Berlin Schloss, end of. 60 years ago when they reconstructed the Charlottenburg Residence (situated in what was West Berlin) with all its interiors, nobody ever would have come up with a nonsense like that.
Schlüter Forum would be a perfect name! One of the greatest sculptors/Architects of the Baroque. But of course far too 'German'. The name Humboldt is more 'international', the Humboldt brothers spoke French and German, so that is Political Correct. I visited Charlottenburg last year, you can find a video I made about it on my channel. The state rooms in the Berlin Schloss could have been restored like in Charlottenburg, unfortunately this didn't happen...
Because we are,stupid and overthink....
the shape of the floorplan of this garden house resembles sant ivo alla sapienza in rome
Of course, the architecture of Rome has influenced Fischer von Erlach. He had lived there as a young man.
So beautiful and totally worth the effort and money. :) That modernist part looks super ugly though. Why?!
Actually, it could have been much worse. The jury chose the 'best' project. At least architect Franco Stella's plan makes a partial reconstruction of the interior of the palace possible in the future. He also was in favor of reconstructing more of the old palace than originally expected.
So true @miniamo. I'm afraid they were or feared they were running out of money. However, let us not forget that for obvious ideological reasons the totalitarian socialist welfare state did not give a single penny for the reconstruction and all costs were on private funds only.
It wasn't a money problem. Even without support of the State. Some people with influence tried to prevent the reconstruction of the Schloss. So the result is a compromise, half reconstruction, half modern and political correct...
Because some ignoramuses thought its great. Like smiering walls and calling it being free...so THERE
Surveys show that most Germans are actually in favour of more reconstructed historic buildings. I think even more than 80% of the younger generation.
Hello Mark. I know you don't have a lot of subscribers but I just wanted you to know how great your content is. Keep up the great work.
Thank You!
Oh my GOD thats what i would picture as the fathers house.Beautiful just breath taking.
Liked the music also.❤😊
I loved the reconstruction but this modern, boring and ugly facade was a big mistake!
The biggest. And thab being reflected. In the spree. Thats a clinic....ignorance arrogant ignorance builds this
I remember the DDR's palace of the Republic, with its strange pinkish glass colour. French, did my military service in (west) Berlin, and we several times visited what was then East Berlin.
Fantastic!
Where is it ? Is it a creation ?
Yes, it's a creation, I made it up
Nice anyway @@markpieters
Thanks!
Vielen Dank❤😊
