Clark and Skor are still available. Do you research before you make these videos?
I have eaten all of these candies at one time or another over the years some I miss and others I don't but thanks for the memories.🍫🍬🍭
What I miss the most about these nostalgic candies is the prices now get something similar,, but the prices are just outrageous just for 1 candy bar 2.00 bucks
I think skore bars are still around I have seen them!
Bonkers were the best need them back!!
😢I used to love the chocolate flavored Velamints. Not crazy about Bonkers. I liked Gatorgum. Fizzies were just fun, not that good, but they tickled your nose. Summit bars too many similar bars. Don’t remember Tongue Splashers, but I was an adult by then, not into having a dyed tongue. Chicken Dinner, they were so good! And weird! Bit-O-Choc were pretty good. Bit-O-Honey is still good. Bar None? Eh! Milk Shake was good because of the malted flavor. Magic Middles, ok, but not too similar to other cookie and chocolate combos. Tato Skins! They were pretty good. Rally Bar, I can’t say I ate them very often. Clark Bar? Didn’t know they no longer made them! I guess I wasn’t a big fan. Milkfuls! Never tried them. Butternut Bar 😋 Grandma loved them. Skör Bar? Didn’t try. NERDS Cereal??? No thanks! Lifesavers Holes- a take off in Dunkin Donuts Donut Holes. I prefer regular lifesavers.
LOVED Josie and the Pussycats and Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space. WHo could forget Scooby Doo Ant and the Aardvark Remember the Gotcha Shark?
Misterjaw
Many of these I have never even heard of and one that I had not this video referred to as big in the Northeast. No. New York is in the Northeast and the chain closed in the seventies.
We still make tuna casserole, salmon patties, stuffed peppers, deviled eggs, pineapple upside down cake and meatloaf.
Is that Bob Balaban at 20:12?
Every topic wss covered like three times each, saying the same thing, just using different words.
What about some of the other "Scooby-Doo" clones, like "Jabberjaw", "Captain Caveman", or "The Funky Phantom"?
Even though the 80’s are long gone and it was indeed a wonderful time, I still think modern times are better. I hope I’m not stepping on some toes here, but do you really wanna use slow internet? Read maps at the side of the road? Walk a long distance to hire movies? And we can go on and on and on. I think what people really miss about the 80’s is that people were way more social back then. But doesn’t that have to do with the type of friends/family you have. Me and my friends still have movie nights, game nights and all the things that make life awesome. We are all in our late 30’s. We have a no phones policy, only for emergencies. But, I think it’s supercool that I can get my phone now, go to youtube and reminisce about how cool life was back then. That wasn’t even possible in the 80’s. I can watch Michael Jackson, Madonna and all of my favourite artists and even movies from back then and basically live in the 80’s for a moment whenever I want! Yes the 80’s were awesome because people made it awesome. Here in Europe the European football cup is on tv and whole streets/neighbourhoods are watching football together. Life is what we make of it people!
are there going to be any giveaways anytime soon???
Cincinnati, like a lot of American cities long ago, had many breweries. I remember Hudepohl, Schoenling (and their 7 oz crème ale called Little Kings) and Burger beer. My Dad also drank Carling Black Label. Too bad all of those essentially went away. I have seen Little Kings in recent years but the taste is not the same. Progress.
If you get ultra high octane racing fuel for a hot rod you can still get leaded gasoline because the racing fuel is strictly leaded gas and Aviation gas for piston engine aircraft is all still leaded gasoline...
I used to love the skor bar. I have found a similar bar at ikea. The diam bar.
😂😂 The skore bar is not discontinued. I ATE ONE two weeks ago It's still sold in canada
It's still sold in the US too
We used to exaggerate bell bottom jeans with a triangle-shaped piece of fabric sewned in. We called them "elephant ears".
The best times… oh to be 44 years younger again would be a blast… If I could only turn back the hands of time…
Pabst the brand killer
Title says things we can do no longer, but some of these are things we can still do.
I miss Alexander Grape candies. What happened to those?
i miss being able to buy whatever firearm i wanted w/o permission from my elected masters. 1986 was lame.
Driving my 900 with no helmet
My dad and I completely rebuilt a cosworth Vega. We repaired all rusted areas, reinforced a couple weak spots, did a rust inhibition coating and drive it for a number of years until we ended up selling it to a collector that liked our still new looking Vega 7 years after the class my dad gave me in rebuilding cars.
The biggest loss on the list is Drive In's. They need to bring it back. We just tune the radio to the right station or if they no have a radio the window speaker would be fine. If they used blue tooth people would take the speakers.
My Dad used to like Mars chocolate bars when I was a kid. 🍫He worked for Nabisco years ago and would bring home Ideal bars, Marshmallow sandwich cookies, and Toastetts.
We still eat sloppy joes, steak-ums, banquet meals, and bagel bites
Bonkers and Bar none was in the 80s not the 70s.
Barnone are still available in pa I found them when passing through!
For a couple years York Peppermint candies came out in a round tin - Inside were small white balls with chocolate centers. They were wonderful! I kept them in my purse because they didn't melt yet provided that same great York Peppermint taste
Seems like everything happened in the 70s as our tastes changed and acquisitions occurred. I drank beer in the 70s and don't remember my taste changing. When my then favorite disappeared from store shelves I just bought something else, and on and on and on. I never drank anything Budweiser and still don't.
Those dated sounding voices of 1950s commercials amuse me.
Sum of these products didn't last like new coke and a few others in the video. But the rest are like mainstays at your local grocer so they must be still valid. There like its own section in the frozen section for lean quisine.
Did anyone else notice that the McDLT ad starred George Kostanza?
Error in your video. Burger Beer was not made in St. Louis it was made in Cincinnati.
Most women never cooked from scratch in the 70s..unless you went to grandmas house. They were rarely home..the children did the cooking 😂
I would have to say the Silent and the Greatest generation along with Gen x were definitely tougher. Most boomers spent more time complaining than actually working. They never would have survived the Great Depression or taking care of themselves all day. We raised ourselves and our siblings. I find them the weakest generation
This is clearly rage bate, in an effort to up interaction.
Say anything to anybody. People think I'm snob cause I won't talk to people.
Are you insane??!!!😵💫 I miss Bennigans !!! I loved Shakey's Pizza. I used to work for Arthur Teachers and I will admit that I preferred Long John Silvers over A. T.
I should take time and Google this. But I seem to remember these places from the 60s.And seventies , not the eighties , especially red barn and burger shift and pupped taco et cetera
57:37 - Two scoops in each box/package, not two scoops of rasins in each bowl/serving.
31:04 - Buc - Wheats cerial -- General Mills Wheaties with maple flavor sprayed on.
30:22 - Both peanut butter and the fruit jam come from jars bought from the grocery store.
20:40 - Hostess Suzy Q looks like Tastykake Juniors.
20:40 - Hostess Suzy Q looks like Tastykake Juniors.
4:51 - The *Moon Pie* is a product of the southeast. To the north we had the same thing, by a different baker called a Scooter Pie.
2:50 - U-bet chocolate syrup.
2:04 - I tried freeze-dried ice cream too, from a local grocery, I think. Freeze-dried ice cream is good for back-packing campers.
