A guy should have some wobble pops on his B-day! I bet they're readily available. Happy Birthday Mister!
Happy birthday Derek thanks for putting out some amazing content especially on your birthday keep it up 🎉
I love that Lesabre dyammmmm !
I wonder how many socket sets Derek has
Not surprised with the Hollie. Sits for any length of time and the o-rings go south, not to mention the corn juice.
65 Dodge Polara was my very first car . It was a 2 door 383 car. I loved that car. I did a bunch of work on it and a guy pulled out in front of me and I t-boned him. Needless to say that was the end of the car. I would buy that car from you in a heartbeat.
Why didn't you try the original convertible top
Happy Birthday...
My first car was a Dodge Dart with a slant 6 engine. That did nothing but run. At the time I was told that the slant 6 was the preferred engine for New York City Taxis. Apparently they yanked them out every 100,000 miles, rebuilt them and jammed them back into another taxi. I would recommend an engine swap and a sale to someone who would appreciate it.
Been trying to get a hold of you I don’t know how to get a hold of you directly but I have a truck you might like one 52,005 it’s been customized a little bit big big brand new tires on it 35s not sure how much mileage is on it. It runs pretty good transmission. All that stuff works, just come look at it
Bet you got some weird looks
Great video Derrick. I love the long videos. This was a great project. My wife and I watch your all your revivals. Love your other channel too. Oh, we also subscribe to little grip too. Keep them coming.
Two and a half hours, did you build it from parts ???? I like your videos but not that much to watch a long movie
I'm screaming at you tuck the back tarp in the boot lit to keep it taunt 😂😂 ..
I like the wire wheels the best and was wondering if they're going to have the duct tape drags again this year and where will they be held? I google it and it just tells me about last year's?
Awesome video! I had a ‘76 D200 with a 2V-400 “truck” engine in it. Turned out it had a forged steel crank, heavy duty rods, fitted pistons and huge valve heads. All it needed was a better cam and intake and a big holley.
Dangit. Now a guy wants a tractor.
I think you should replace the chassis with a new one! It doesn't have a lot of body work, you could raffle it off!!!
Happy Birthday man!
Hi Derick. Love your channel. I have learned a lot watching you bring cars back to life and drive them insane distances across the country. A brake bleeding hack I use is a bicycle pump. The old fashioned stand up kind. I pump up the brakes, carefully wedge the pump between the seat and the pedal to maintain tension, and bleed a wheel. Add fluid, rinse and repeat. The spring on the pump maintains tension on the pedal.
does linseed protect against further rusting of the patina/surface rust once its applied? i saw you didnt go down to bare metal. im trying to figure it out for my own 67 ford wagon
I'm actually surprised that Chrysler made any engine but the 4 cylinder K car engine in 1981.
Please do more with this car....I think it's worth bringing it around...
Awesome vid
Wtf LoL. Thanks from 🇨🇦 A
Get that Gran Turino "off my lawn"!
Hope you had a great Wyoming birthday Derek!
Wobbly pop means a fit of rage here, I had to look up the American/Canadian translation to realize you mean a beer. But in all honesty its funny both ways.
Had to take a break there an go work on my own project, a few times. But wow what a beat, low mile clean tittle. An custom convict paint. Outstanding
Love that
Pure testament to Chevy Superiority in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Maybe even to this day.
You gave up when you still had first gear?
You are correct Derek. The tbi system did not work from factory. So Chrysler made a delete kit. Just like caddy
MOTORsports, MOTORcycles, MOTORcars and so on. That's a dead argument at this point thank korean jesus. Doing a motor swap using my motor manual. Ok, I'm done kicking that horse. Can't rewrite centuries old definitions.
american made cars have power convertible tops....at least all mine did
YOU Rockin THOSE MULLET TAILS!!🤣😂🤣😅😆
Loved this episode, the dodge needs to stay as the going to town rig
@ Vice Grip Garage we watch the show on our TV as much as we can so at least for us it will not show up as a subscriber but we already are. So there's a good chance that's happening with other subscribers as well.
Happy B-Day
Happy birthday from sweden ❤
Love it, please finish it up!
When people stop you that don't know who you are, do you promote the channel or let them know you're doing restos and to check you out? You're growing like wildfire!! Bless
❤
Derek, really enjoyed this, will all your hard work and the cool stops on the way back. The car is beautiful, good find and revival. Would love to see it cleaned up.
I absolutely love that car!
Derek!!! Be CAREFUL!!!!! yOU ARE A NATIONAL treasure. Nobody does it like you BUDDY! Thank you!
Anyone who needs to tarp a convertible top frame.. Use a canvas tarp and not plastic.. (flaps a lot less) then you can stitch it with a sailmaker’s Speedy Stitcher.. takes less than 10 minutes to become proficient.. (Cobblers use them as well) …. you can staple them as well but it doesn’t hold up so well. I have owned numerous little sports (shitboxes) cars from the UK and Italy.. and never could afford a real top replacement..
If you can find an 8' stepside, they're worth a lot.
Happy birthday!
