My theory on the "wrench" you heard on your video the other day bouncing under the car was the piece of all-thread you cut off of the air cleaner stud! When you cut it, I said to myself, "that's going to fall out and scare the crap out of them"! Keep up the great videos.

Derek, I love that 67' Fairlane. I have a 66' and just dig that body style. I'm glad you got it going and back home. My personal suggestions are leave it pretty much the way it is but iron out some of the details. Put a heater core in it, wipers, a seat that will accommodate someone taller than 5'6", repair the electrical system and drive it!

The car is just amazing. Tony's hospitality never ceases to amaze me...and I am SO glad that you pronounced Reese's correctly. My wife and her sister says "Reecee's Peecees".
You make my eyes get all sweaty when you talk about bringing it back to the track the old owner used to run it at and how he’d be looking down smiling. Love it!! Good job keeping it alive.
That Fairlane makes my heart race! In high school a neighbor kid had a 68 Fairlane with a 4sp. He was 17 and I was 15. This was in '75.
I'm not really a Ford guy but I love this car.The history behind it is really cool,if only this car could talk.
My grandfather wrecked his sweet 64 Falcon in 1967. His insurance agent told him to pick out a car and it was covered 100%. He chose a 1967 Ford Galaxie 150 XL 289 three on the tree for $2700.. A bronze beauty. Grandma sold it when he died in 1969. This video brought back memories. Thank you Derek!
I grew riding in a 66 Ford Fairlane that my Mom drove. My dad had a 73 Buick Lesabre. The Fairlane became one of my favorites all time. I love the style, stacked headlights and mono AM radio haha. Ours had a 289 Cleveland in it, buckets seats and 3 speed automatic. We got rid of the car in the mid to late 90's Rotting away pretty bad.

Tony is hardcore builder. My favorite was a c3 he put a 69 widebody on and a pretty hot 454 in it in a couple of episodes of H RG. Good times.
Derek this was a good buy with a long racing history. Fix the wipers, heater and for heaven's sake get the defroster installed! Get a seat that fits you, but one that Jessica can drive too she's going to love it!

Good call with making the teaser at the end talking about what to look for next. It's always good to have something to look forward to and it works well just like traditional TV that teased the next episode as well. The ep didn't need to be in the can yet aka fully finished, just something you knew was happening next.

Suck you finally get a good solid car with new engine and trans and you had to fight the weather, nothing is easy.
Nice to see everyone pitching in and getting you back on the road
Hey Derek. Next time you get cold or foggy winders...a fella should grab a roll of heater hose at a parts store. Just loop the hose around the dash and back out to the engine. With enough hose you can loop over the dash and down along the floor to keep your earth pounders and the windscreen defrosted. No heater core needed. Plugs two holes in the firewall too.
Nothing better than some quality time wrenching in the garage with buds.
