Why do you never show or describe any information regarding what type ok keel that your boats have. This is vital information for a cross ocean yacht.

An iconic boat for sure. But, when I look at the bowsprit and the boomkin, all I can think of is the extra charges at the marina. Any marina that I've been to charges by the LOA, not LWL. They also make access to the jib's roller furler and wind vane steering ( if so equipped ) respectively, a challenge. But, oh so beautiful.

The 'little tub' is for soaking your feet. A little forgotten sailing fact that placing your feet in water eliminates the symptoms of seasickness.

There isn’t one, not one, affordable sailboat that is 54’. Regardless of what you pay for a vessel, the operating costs are absolutely absurd for a sailboat this size. I work on these boats everyday and unless you have deep deep pockets there is no reason to step into this realm. We should be encouraging people to sail on small modest boats of 30ish feet. See the world, travel and have a boat you can maintain yourself and afford to operate.

I would sell it all to have the boat. Then I would sell the boat.

I dont think id call my sailboat daunting 😂. My 43' Columbia is very roomy sleeps 6 comfortably and has been my home with my two border collies for the past 8 years having sailed over 30,000 nautical miles on this boat.

Great boat, but a boat of this size would have to have a proper stateroom before i brought it.

I partially grew up on the great lakes and seen a number of Bayfields as a young man. I also spent the majority of my formative years in Bradenton / Cortez which made this episode more interesting to me! My family indeed lived aboard in our Florida years. I caught the school bus at the marina gate and weekends we anchored many times off of Egmont Key. What great memories...

I lived on my Cruisers Inc 3270 for a few years. $400 a month slip fee plus insurance. No dock will take you without it. I loved it but then osteonecrosis took both hips and sadly she sank while laid up.

First some will love it some my not for me.i will start with what I like the walkable solar panels are nice , the back where the dingy goes that can lower when at anchor is nice but I think would be better if it lowered to water level . But I'm not really impressed with this one especially for the price tag not a fan of the interior and why would they put that big of trampoline instead of making the interior go farther out under like on most cats like the privilege or some of the sunreefs. This to me doesn't seem like a good boat for anyone sailing /motoring more then an hour or so to destination. Cuz even with 2 people that want to go cruising and circle navigating just seems like a poor interior design.and the thought of 12 people on this boat can't even imagine like I said this would be good for a weekend warrior with 1.5 + millon to spend but iv seen alot others in that price range that for me seems like a way better bang for the buck

If you live RV living then the boat for you. We had a few in the yard I managed in Greece and for hot climates terrible, for trucking around N Europe and Scandinavia great. Good build quality but worse sailing than say a Hallberg Rassey which isn't saying a lot. Teak decks are terrible though to be fair we (as a boatyard) made plenty of money out of them in the winter season.

well made however small carry capacity for 2 or more long distances. the Pardy's made it work with a similar boat but to cross oceans i would want 10ft more at least.

Was it on the hard during the hurricane? When it fell over? That would explain the dings and the lack of water damage. Might even explain the oil in the bilge.

Not anywhere. To do that you need a boat like Bernard Moitessier's Joshua. Double ended steel ketch, full keel (with separately stayed masts), inside steering, sheltered prop, integral rudder. Yeah that thing is an absolute BEAST! He STUPIDLY lost the boat during a hurricane when he wasn't even on it when it dragged anchors onto the rocks off of Baji and got piled up with other boats while he was partying! Somebody salvaged & restored it and its still sailing to this day. They did NOT remain it. Yep if a whale runs into this boat it dies, not the boat. I've read stories whereby glass boats are sunk by whales. I believe Joshua once had it's masts dipped in water rounding the horn. Do not know how true that was. Moitessier's first book has about 13 pages depicting the original build. Unreal. It was built in Turkey.
