  Costco just started carrying fresh fish and they said walleye or pickerel. Looking at your video it is walleye and the instructions were great, these filets were easy to de-bone. Thanks!

  Yes, pickerel is sometimes used as a name for walleye even though pickerel are more similar to a pike than a walleye.

  True, I was in the spot but I was using Mega Live to locate groups of fish and drop my slip bobber rigs right on them. You can see how I panned the Mega Live in the video, casted onto the fish I spotted, and how quickly the fish took it.

  We had walleye in a home chef delivery (already cooked) a few month ago. While my family and I enjoyed the walleye (and I don't usually care for fish), we didn't order it again because we did not care for all the bones. When I saw walleye at the store a few weeks ago, I had to buy some, figuring that I could figure out how to de-bone the fish before cooking. I am making it today and tried this for the first time. Your video was really helpful and it was so easy to do! Thank you.

  I have the Helix 5 G2 Chirp and can't get it to go into Ice fishing mode. It'll say its on but none of the features work, and it doesn't reboot and go into Ice mode like I've seen on so many videos ..not sure what to do? It may be a defective unit?

  Rob Blasko - That seems quite odd. As soon as I select ice mode it resets, as you say. If yours isn’t doing that I would contact Humminbird or return it to your retailer for a different one.

  @@harderoutdoorsIt wouldn't work at all and it's only 18months old..but I tried adding the latest software update and it fixed everything..all good now
