Costco just started carrying fresh fish and they said walleye or pickerel. Looking at your video it is walleye and the instructions were great, these filets were easy to de-bone. Thanks!

Yes, pickerel is sometimes used as a name for walleye even though pickerel are more similar to a pike than a walleye.

We had walleye in a home chef delivery (already cooked) a few month ago. While my family and I enjoyed the walleye (and I don't usually care for fish), we didn't order it again because we did not care for all the bones. When I saw walleye at the store a few weeks ago, I had to buy some, figuring that I could figure out how to de-bone the fish before cooking. I am making it today and tried this for the first time. Your video was really helpful and it was so easy to do! Thank you.

Hey Alberto. I fillet my walleye the exact same ways as I do Northern Pike. I did a video of the northern pike filleting about a month ago. Hope that helps you!

Love your videos. Maximizing the meat without spending 20 minutes a fish is great. Any chance of making a video on filleting a walleye to get to this point? Thanks again
