It looks far better in that colour than it does in duller shades. Shame it isn't RWD, 6 cylinder and with a ZF8 gearbox, it would be far more exciting to drive then.

I find the most annoying thing about the G is reviewers complaining about no touchscreen. Nobody who buys these cares.
I've heard this car is a magnet to Golf GTI drivers who regularly pull up to your bumper to challenge you. I've also heard if you then pretend to not be interested, wait till you're almost halfway through the next corner and then let the e-diff pull you through as you floor it and smoke them on the following straight, they get very sad....is what I've heard.
Ford Performance pack £250 ? And quicker then the old RS.

I've seen in other reviews that the pedals are slightly offset is that is true?
Great review but what about power and the engine etc totally missed the driving part as you where driving it around longleat 😅

Long term review : 2018 Mini Copper Countryman All 4 S Problems prior to 60,000 miles: Door Latches: All four door latches failed (at various intervals) requiring the doors to be tied down to the headrest until repaired. The passenger door latched failed twice. Service manager was unable to offer an explanation as to the cause. Research mini and BMW door latch failures. Battery Replacement: No indication/warning light given that the battery was getting low… It just stopped functioning. Replacing the battery requires removing support bars and engine compartment panels. Somewhat time consuming compared to most cars. Engine Coolant: almost all of the engine coolant evaporated causing the car to overheat. No warning light that coolant was low. Car had been serviced by Mini of Bedford two weeks prior and had been consistently serviced by the dealership. Decals: Decals around the headlights bubbled and needed to be replaced. Tires: Run flat fair weather tires needed to be replaced to allow for inclement/snow conditions. Service/Technicians: There are very few shops that work on Mini Coopers and most are as expensive as the dealer. Overall: The Mini Copper is not a reliable vehicle and owning one in North America is costly unless you have the time to perform the repairs yourself.
i believe it is actually based on the X2 not 1 series, just compare the design / look of the rear of X2 and this M235 and its virtually the same. Its a a squished down X2, thats why the rear of the car looks out of proportion.
The Engine of the Mini 2.0 L 4 Cylinder is way more reliable, than the Ford 1.5 L lil 3 Cylinder on the long term !

Hate black wheels myself. The diamond cut look loads better. Unless the car is black. Looks pretty stealthy black wheels on black car but still diamond cut for the win.

The 300 horse Clubman JCW is way way more fun to drive than the Golf R, design, build quality is as good as it gets, unlike Mercedes these days. BUT It’s still a Mini FGS. The heads up display is brilliant and as for hard seats and legroom it’s a Mini fgs. Open the rear doors with the handles if your kids are left to wander about 🙄. Run the car in Mid mode if the car is too stiff for you, as the performance is still the same. Genuinely odd nitpicky review for what is a wow of a vehicle.

I did own a 2016 Countryman S It was dead reliable for 4 years I owned it. Only real issue I had was the overpriced maintenance for an economy hatch! The fuel was great for around city and from my turbo 1.6L petrol, i got up to 44 mpg highways. Great for long trips :) If you do buy a MINI, just be knowledgeable on how to maintain a vehicle in general. A lot of people who purchase one, don’t maintain their vehicles and let them go to trash! Hence why there are so many claims they are unreliable. I drove mine to 110,000 km No issues at all! But i just didn’t have a proper job at the time to afford the crazy maintenance costs.
Most claims are for the 2nd gen minis the F56 2014+ are pretty reliable
Ive the exact one on a 20 plate .same colour pearlescent white black roof .mines the 2 litre .shames many a car on acceleration to 60mph.add to that 48mpg.show me the competition that does that

You can't tune Alpine A110 to thousands of horsepower, but you can with the Supra. That's the point, Supra is a car for tuners

The question you're answering "Does the design of the sporty model differentiates itself enough from the standard models?" has nothing to do with the question you are supposed to be discussing it you wanna be picking a winner in the design category "Does either car look better than the other?". It is a total mistery for me how the Hyundai should be the winner just cause it has more stripes etc. if it's general design is about a decade behind the one of the Focus.
Hyundai's interior looks horrificly bland in comparison to the one of the focus.. those door panels look like straight from the 90ies. Just as the screen with the huge buttons around it and this excessively thick and ugly mount.
