    I think this is better than the civic type R but it's a lot more expensive. I would love to daily the "normal" 4 control rs. Thank god Botb have one in the line up!

    @@supposedly6991 of course you can. Half of the Tesla owners I know enjoy petrol cars but most are seeing EVs as better. Doesnt change them being car fans tho. whatever the fuel

    Does anyone know if it's normal that there is a little delay in throttle response while going full throttle in the lower gears 1-3 or 4? I didn't have that with my Meg 3 RS 265 when changing the throttle mapping to sport or extreme. There was absolute instant response. Not with this one unfortunately. Too bad you can't change the throttle mapping like on the old 265

    I'm sure it's a great car, but it's simply stupid money. I still don't understand why they bothered to make it 5 door as there are no rear seats - surely a 3 door would be cheaper? I'm sure I heard somewhere that you can pay Renault to put the rear seats back in, but I can't see that option on the online configurator.

    @@BOTBreviews True, but why not make the exception for this, as it's such an extreme model, and it's worth pointing out that the new GR Yaris is 3 door even though the rest of the Yaris range is 5 door.

    My guess is this would cost £100k if Renault had to engineer a bespoke shell for it! Such low volume it just isn’t worth it. Plus the rear doors are useful for getting your track day wheels in! 😁👍

    Why do you attach the term 'hot hatch' to this car? As soon as you do that you have set the parameters and the context of what to compare it to and whether its worth £.... 'for a hot hatch!??' That's like saying 'this porsche is a hot coupe', then choking at paying £150k for a 'hot coupe'. You need to see and review the car on its merits, objectively, not against this cursed 'hot hatch' grading system

    51k for a stripped down track car that does 0-62 in 5.4s ! What a joke. When one can buy an Audi rs3 for 32k or a Mini GP for 35k (if you re hard set on a stripped down fwd track car) who on Earth is gonna even consider buying this? Seriously I d love to read arguments if I anyone thinks I m wrong. Perhaps I m not getting something

    You are ridiculous... Why wouldn't someone want a car like this?? It's not the acceleration that matter the most here, it's handling and fun factor. This Trophy R will destroy any Bmw m2, m3 ,m4, or Merc c63 on a twisty road or quite frankly any rwd car in that similar price range (Trophy R is actually cheaper than those) . It has much more grip than a rwd car and it's much safer to drive quickly. It's an amazing machine... Many expert motoring journalists have said that if this car had twice as much power and it was able to put it down to the ground it would achieve same lap times as the most track focused supercars. This stock Megane can be just as exciting as supercars that cost 4+ times as much.

    For this car it's not about acceleration, it's about handling and driving feel, which is among best in the world overall, not just hatchbacks.
