Kristy and Steve

Hello, we're Kristy & Steve and welcome to our channel!

After saving for 3 years, we left our jobs, sold our possessions, rented out our apartment in Melbourne, Australia and bought one way tickets to start a new long-term adventure exploring different countries, discovering new cultures and learning new ways of life. We created this channel to keep our friends, family and anyone we meet along the way, up to date with our journey around the world! Join us on our trip - we hope you enjoy! ✈️

Yep. I've been on trips for months and gotten stuck out in the middle of the rice paddies at 0430 on a broken down bus and had no stress about it since I had nowhere to be for two months. Others on the bus, very stressed out about connecting transportation that very morning.

Hash browns are an American abomination, should be fried sliced potatoes. You can't get vinegar in a chip shop, it's an old law because vinegar can be classed as being "brewed", so chip shops only use a "non brewed condiment" that is acetic acid.

What the hell is that plastic cup next to you when you're having the 'traditional' scone? The only thing you should have is a pot of tea and that does not come in a plastic cup. Just got to the point where you got to the Chop House and hoping that things get better. First thoughts are that we have decent beer in Manchester and it's so much better than VB. The Chop Houses are so good but the corned beef there is what we'd normally call salt beef

Probably been said before but hash browns are American and aren't part of a traditional English breakfast. Black pudding is a northern English thing. A traditional English breakfast for London, Birmingham, Manchester etc without local changes would be Bacon, sausages, fried egg, fried bread and grilled tomato. Fried bread is usually a northern thing but, as a Mancunian, it's essential

When i was a child my grandma used to serve up the Yorkshire puddings and gravy first then the actual mash, roast potatoes meat and veg with gravy, never had the puddings together, i think the reason was because in her days Yorkshire pudding was served up separate to fill you up and there for not as much meat needed.

Ah, Yorkshire puds! There is no "correct way" to eat them. They can be savoury or sweet. My fav way is piece of crispy roast potato, slice of meat, (whichever meat you like) and a bit of gravy. Second to that is a Yorkie which has been flattened, sliced meat on top and rolled into a kind of burrito with a pot of gravy, third is a Yorkie with honey, ice cream and strawberries. 🤤🤤🤤
