At Forgotten Weapons I think the most interesting guns out there are the most obscure ones. I try to search out experimental and prototype weapons and show you how they work, in addition to more conventional guns that you may not have heard of before. You're much more likely to find a video on the Cei Rigotti or Webley-Fosbery here than an AR or Glock. So, do you want to learn about something new today? Then stick around!

You had me at “angry beaver grinding tool!”
rumor has it that there was a M-1 failure or field mod to give a 3 round burst M-1 during WW 2 at the western wall
My uncle has one of these and he says it’s the worst thing he’s ever Bought
First of all, great video. Love it. Second of all, to all of the commenters posting about their experiences with M-14, thank you so much for your service and for sharing your stories.
Sorry to hear Corporal Stein was killed, like so many others on Iwo Jima and the Pacific theater of war. Thank you for the Medal of Honor citation.
Some of your older videos are marked as private now. The ones I was really interested in were the World War II British ration series
battle rifle that should look like a BM-59 gone array
The English definition for storm in an 'attacking' or military sense is: a direct assault by troops on a fortified place. -verb
"Ugh, that ugly Bush hole stock!"
Why does it have to be treason when simple grift will suffice?
With the triggers you can buy these days i wouldn't pay more than 1200 for an actual m16. Anything more than that is a waste. With the right setup you can bump fire with as much control as a full auto.
thumbhole stocks like that are going to become cool. nostalgia and retro vibes become valuable
POV: BF1 Players the literal *SECOND* there is a blimp on the map
The 1994 law didn't ban receivers that take standard 30rd mags. It was a 1997 e.o. by President Billy Clinton that banned standard mag receivers. CAI and others had to modify imports to accept standard AK mags. Later Madi and SAR-1/2s are a good example.
I can shoot 1' groups at 100 all day. Well not all day, afternoos I'm a little drunk and things spread out. (j/k)
So bad its still in service today.
Our federal gun restrictions are such a senseless hodgepodge of random regulations with no logic involved.
I've always wondered why some semi auto AK variants have safety stops that prevent the safety from entering a traditional semi auto setting. Essentially turning the full auto notch to a semi auto notch when others just don't have a stop for full auto and allow the safety to fully rotate.
KBI was all of 5 miles from my honeymoon!
Ferguson is lucky to be sitting with gun jesus
This is how I had to buy an AK during the late 90’s only mine was Chinese Norinco.
Meawhile, modern day Australia would scream, cry and run away from a firearm like this.
I always thought Elbonian questions were of maximize incompetence and falling for marketing, not sabotage. Thanks for clarifying.
You’re hired for chief saboteur Ian
Savagely simplifies
The M14 and the 7.62 has a significant advantage in both the long range accuracy and down range power, making it an outstanding rifle for defending a fire base. If you are going out into the jungle on patrol though, the M16 lets you carry much more ammo and an extra hundred round belt of 7.62 for the M-60. I have extensive experience with both, and this is how I see their roles. I have never had a jam with an M-14. It is the most reliable firearm I have even used other than a revolver.
i dont know.... i like that stock, its looks cool.
2:38 Is it just me or Ian kinda...😩
At 4:21 you say "...they couldn't have a thumbhole stock..." but I think you meant to say "...they couldn't have a pistol grip stock..." The advent of the thumbhole stocks was a ploy to get around the ban on pistol grip stocks.
I've watched your videos since I was 13, and you have seriously been an inspiration to me.
Thanks enjoyed , I remember those from way back then. Goofy looking rifle.
Memories Memories
Great, ban style thumb hole stocks are gonna make a comeback due to hipsters and Gen Z seeing Ian’s videos…
Ian, you are not old enough to use the phrase you young whippersnappers This sayeth the boomer
Hard disagree
I thought Ian & Carl were both FEG’s?
Lots of memories
Ian may have over sold it’s qualities as an aircraft gun. As well as high rate of fire you also want bullets with minimum time in flight and flat trajectory. Getting a hit on a German fighter that doesn’t want to get hit and is shooting 8x57mm Mauser rounds back at you would be hard work. And bullet drop would probably make it a complete waste of time past 150-200 metres, which is point blank for the 8x57.
Nice aesthetics. But practically unusable, I’m afraid
Anyone else getting serious eye-pull from the pistol right behind Ian’s head?
Beautiful plumage, I mean wood stock.
The reason why the ATF made these machine guns transferable is so they can only make money. They need the NFA to keep running.
I like the M14 and I don’t specifically like Full auto anyway
Memories
I can still smell those cold flowers coming from the drivers seat.
The cartridge that won.... 30-06
Ah yes, I've always wanted a russian ruloulette machine for when I'm looking for sweet release from my drug induced psychosis? Haven't you?
That wooden stock is damn sexy
New EDC!
I like thumbhole stocks, they're aesthetically pleasing and that's a moral imperative
