Base To Final

Hi I’m Patrick! I love spending time with my family and friends in the air and on the water. We really enjoy aviation, fresh water & ocean fishing and pretty much anything outdoors! I can’t wait to share some of our adventures with you! Expect Flying videos, boat modifications to all types of ocean and bass fishing, we try it all. Have an idea for a video drop it in the comments. As a business owner and disabled veteran I have the ability to take the time off to go flying my Jabiru Aircraft or hit the lakes! I may spend the weekend camping at the local camp ground with the family to do some kayak fishing. We’re pretty adventurous and do Mountain Biking, Camping, fishing and we even go flying in our airplane every now and then! Subscribe and join us and be one with out adventures!

    Quick Question: What is it like trying to row with the oars when you are sitting up that high? Would the 4" post be better? No post? I plan on fishing some lakes that don't allow motors of any kind, but also lakes that allow electric. Thanks for your reply.

    I see these modifications all the time, and they look good on video. But I have yet to see anyone of you that have made these videos actually show a video of yourself standing in fishing from the sitting position to the standing position. Not a single damn video on KZread shows this. So what good is all these modifications if you cannot show that they actually work.

  • @floridaprepper5010
    @floridaprepper50108 ай бұрын

    That’s all good and dandy but it’s completely unnecessary. You don’t need that table all you need a 2 x 2 piece piece of wood. You don’t need to spend 30 something dollars to get a table to do this. A simple 2’ x 2 foot piece of wood will suffice just as well and doesn’t cost you nothing

    I can find all kinds of videos of people making these modifications, but I have yet to find a video that showed somebody actually standing and fishing in the boat. So what’s the purpose of making these modifications and not showing that they actually work. I have searched KZread over and over and over again and have yet to find anybody standing on a Colorado pontoon boat versus much less fishing and filming on Colorado pontoon boat.

    took 2 years to build mine i used PVC for the frame cedar decking I bult a 4 way adjustable cherrywood seat, brass oar locks and 2 zipper bags that came with the tubes took a spin in it to make sure it worked ok and sold it to a nice older couple it had 30 minutes of use on it now I can build another one

    The pvc bowed down quite a bit when you stepped on it. I would not be comfortable standing on it. Without those joints glued, if it were me I would add an oak dowel rod inside the pvc or 1/2 galvanized pipe to beef it all up. What if you're standing there ready to cast and it pops apart? What if in the process of falling you bust your head on those metal pipes. Or a fish hook swinging around as you're falling catches you in the eye. It would be so much safer to glue those joints and add a dowel inside the pvc to beef it all up. IMHO

    Great mods and ideas. Now they want about 70 bucks for that table so I will go with 2X2 plywood until I can find a reasonable replacement. I will still use that framework as it looks very stable and it gives me rod holders out of the way of my oars, rowing, etc. Bolting the battery box in the formally unusable area under the seat, good voodoo! If not using a battery, it would be good storage. Now if you had provided measurements for your PVC cuts...it would be 5 stars!

    Great job. About as good as it gets for a simple cost effective modification. I just purchased a Colorado used pontoon boat. Sold my fishing boat last summer. I was wondering if I could take sitting all day on this new pontoon but I may just have to modify it with a pedestal seat and a fishing platform for sure👍🙏

    Great idea. I'll be doing this to mine, as well as some grip tape and a fish tape measure on that deck. Maybe drill a cup holder to it or some T-bolt Accessory rail then you could add your go pro mount or whatever to that mount.

    Get the BimmerCode app and code the extra fuel capacity and also enable Hold State of Charge. That lets you turn on the REx whenever the battery level gets under 75%. Also the BimmerLink app is great for checking errors and clearing them. We bought a used 2018 i3 and absolutely love it. Best car I've owned in 50 years of driving. I never buy another ICE vehicle.
