6:20 _"Did ever any mortal alive hear of taking a pursuit of happiness from a man??"_ Yes.. It's called LOCKDOWNS. Curfews, forced quarantine, etc. It's what King George was doing: taking the peoples' taxes by no other motivation than his own will and no other justification than royal fiat.

In short: taking away peoples' money so they can't grow, can't develop and have any hope of achieving happiness, they can't even pursue it because they keep getting undercut

To say that a man with life has a right to be a man with life is so purely... _American..."_ Wow, so the guy almost gets it. He ALMOST understood! He was licking the window of self awareness... 😑

Remember, a Spaniard priest named Sahagun wrote the Florentine Codex in 1569, that's 48 years after the conquest... Today in 2024 some folks state they are Aztec/ Mexica, I doubt there are any pure blooded Aztecs left after the deaths during the conquest, disease like small pox, dilution and finally subjugation of the Aztec women.

No real Samurai got to experience modern Japan. Real Samurai died out 200 years before the occupation was fully liquified. This was a thug, who's training and discipline was purely ceremonial, he knew nothing of the Sengoku Jidai.

Interestingly, the grandfathers of these Icelanders (Vikings) kidnapped women in Ireland and took them to Iceland. The children and their wives are sold far away to the Arabs in Baghdad. Icelanders are not innocent either

Baghdad one makes me sad the most. All that knowledge ans those inventions destroyed from the 'House of Wisdom'. It's actually a miracle how Baghdad (parts of it which are old) still stands today with some ancient buildings still intact despite the insane and gruesome destruction by the Mongols. Almost as sad as the burning of the library of Alexandria and the burning of the Nalanda mahavihara. Why do human beings like to destroy useful knowledge so much?

This not the something to be proud of as tunisian, this is horrible getting captured with your whole family and returning home alone without even knowing if your family is alive or dead, nowadays many algerians have nordic features , his bloodline could be still alive to this day.

Thomas Jefferson found the official bible too weird for him. He created his own version of the New Testament, editing out what he considered the unbelievable bits such as the miracles and the resurrection. He was not alone among America's founders. John Adams attended a Christian church that didn't believe in the resurrection either. Theirs was a different time. And the Bible is, after all, fan fiction in all its versions.

I read the Anabasis a month ago, this book is a real blue print for a series like Game of Thrones! Full of betrayed and plot twists. The cool thing was that the strategos were elected and could be killed for their failurs! So if you made a bad decission and lost to many soldiers in a fight, you will pay the price. Xenophon was an unkowen citizan from Athen before and he wrote this warjurnal (the first in history). After the betrayed of the persians (they greek leaders were invited for a negotiation, and they all were killed with a troop of 300 soldiers) he became a leading officer. His prime goal was it to protect and held the 10.000 together and bring as many back home. The real exiting part came after this battle! The entire entourage was probably 15,000 to 20,000 people + hundreds of pack animals, thousands of cattle, sheep, etc. as living food. They all needed food and drink in abundance. They could not take the route they had come, because they had eaten everything they had learned. That must been frightening if this ravenous city on legs marched into your village.

It's interesting to note the similarities in history where different cultures faced the Mongol invasions. Both the Lithuanians in the Battle of Blue Waters and the Japanese in the Mongol Invasions of Japan had to defend against the formidable Mongol forces. Despite being from vastly different regions, they shared the experience of repelling Mongol attempts at conquest. Love from Lithuania to Japan❤
