Weight Loss on WW2 rations
Weight Loss on WW2 rations
I'm living on WW2 rations for 1 year as a 1940s Experiment to test my theory that eradicating most ultra processed foods from my diet will and live on a predominantly wholefoods diet (as most people did during WW2), will cure my overeating, bingeing and obesity. During this journey I will share the food, and my health journey including weigh ins and blood tests.
WW2 Ration Book Recipes, Crisis Cooking and recipes from the FREE downloadable Pandemic Pantry cookbook to get you through hard times when money is short.

National service is not a suitable thing to do in this current climate. The way war is fort is more digital. Let's face it when you sign up you are accepting of your part to fight in any war, in any part of the world. I personally feel we should be thinking of stopping all wars. Not encouraging new ones. It is also the government back tracking as they now realise after all their reductions in our military over all three force's. We don't have enough personnel to defend the crown and all that means. So hiding behind national service is what they think they can hide the fact from the common man.
Those look so lovely! 👍 Great wartime 'make do' by using the flask!👍
You are a breath of fresh air. I loved your video
Fantastic, well done 🖤
I love your hair. You also seem to be glowing, so perfect or imperfect, something about this diet is working for you.
I wish you chatted over this! It's lovely when you do! :-)
I love this dish; haven’t made it in a long time

They look delicious Carolyn ! Will be giving them a go for sure x
I can't imagine eating a parsnip for any reason ever. However, you were so enthusiastic about it I'm going to try it for tomorrow's dinner, I'll let you know how I get on.
In some sense I'm really pleased you're going back to it. I eat along with you and I have fun too. Thank you I will be adding extra tea and whatever veggies are available, no extra cheese or fats except a little olive oil. I will add the odd can of tomatoes or beans. Tbh i enjoy the food more when im eating 1940 style.
Ooh so yummy looking! Thx for your videos and shorts. I just started trying WW 2 UK rations, to get away from UPF and lose COVID weight. The Normandy ceremonies this week have helped remind me how much we owe that generation! But it’s hard, and your blog, vids, and shorts all help! xx 💜
You know, if anyone outside the UK wants to know the definition of 'comfort food' for us, then for my generation it's Shepherd's Pie & Cottage Pie. Even if our Mums did sometimes get the names mixed up - I know my Mum did all the time! LOL!!
Looks delicious and it was a top meal as a kid.👍🇦🇺
Carolyn, I just saw a 13 year old video of yours where you made a beef stew. How long have you been vegan, please?
