    Great drills! I do similar drills w/baseball & fastpitch teams. I’m working on my slow pitch swing too (played a lot of baseball). Your swing is solid.The only feedback I have is during your opposite field session, you’re actually hitting up the middle w/how your body is oriented. I like putting a bat down at my feet in line w/the batters box, and stride down that line and hit the ball deep in the zone. Just a suggestion. Good luck!

    Compressive spine loading is an interesting way to look at a week’s volume. I need to add that to mine Different perspectives are funny because I’d never program shrugs but would always consider bent over rows. Imo if deadlifts or bent over rows are felt in the low back, they aren’t being performed right. And they’re the base movement pattern for oly lifts so if someone can’t brace the basic movement w/o pain, they shouldn’t be adding speed to it. I think there’s a lot to be learned about bracing from slow eccentrics in those two positions. But it makes sense why you wouldn’t waste an athletes time there, way better places to put effort Agree with everything you said beyond that, great video

    Hey brotha. Not sure how I came across this video. Iv played at the highest level and the biggest thing I learned. Your Judy swings when tired. Cut those out. Push thru it. Learn your hit tired. Champions are won on Saturday. Anyone can hit Friday and Saturday. You wanna win the shit learn to hit tired. For what it’s worth my 2 cents. Keep grinding.

    A little more hip shoulder separation where the hips turning first then your back shoulder on foot landing should generate more power. Building up tension will be more effective than moving into the ball. It is kinda like stretching a rubber band from both ends. If you find that your hip is getting stuck, you can do some internal rotation on your lead leg on the load. It will help get your hip opening up on the stride. Just make sure that your top half is not leaking forward. If you do it right, it will feel like you bat wants to snap forward .

  • @Danimal.69

    A drill you can do is start where you are in backswing with both your shoulders and hip open and then try to keep your hips opened while you pull back with your shoulder to the the closed position. You will feel tension of the hip sholder separation. Then swing.

    I know you hate medication but it's not a crutch. The point it to make you normal. Someone who has fractures a bone is dealing with constant pain, which isn't normal, so they take painkillers to make them like the rest of humanity (pain free). Reframe how you view aids like medicine.

    Also advice to anyone reading: Smith Machine sissy squat with no hip bend + seated leg curls + glute kickbacks + standing calf raises are all you need to improve your jumping ability. Throw in some tibias raises and you'll improve your ability to not break your shins on the descent. Throw in some all out sprints to teach your body to use all those muscles explosively. Credentials: im 5'9" and can touch mid backboard.... I also have a 6'3" wing span so that helps. I can't dunk because I don't care to improve my ball handling techniques. I'm not gay

    I’m a big fan. I just wanted to ask you a question about tib raises. You are clearly very against them, because you think they are useless. I think that you should train your tibs if you are going training your calves. To me it’s common sense, because you would of course train biceps if you trained triceps. Right? Whats your opinion on this

  • @jochumstrength
    @jochumstrength9 күн бұрын

    Appreciate you and the question dude! When you train biceps and triceps no one promises that it will fix your shoulder and make you throw 100 mphs - which is my issue with "tib raises" false claims to market a program - if you want to rip tib raises for shin hypertrophy go and do it! (I Still think alot of athletic movements are going to give you better looking calves than doing shin raises but again if you want to do them do them) I just don't like the false claims

    Rec fem strain. Happened when my leg was behind me running a flying 10. Now that backside of a top speed sprint and pushing out of a rev lunge or split squat when that leg is behind and quad is lengthened gives me some issues. On dacs program right now been hammering the 2-way knee move and different quad ISOs/ slow lowers. Max jumping and bilateral squatting gives no issue. Hope this gives good context
