The differences between the RS3 and OSRS Mahjarrat storylines are pretty interesting, so here's some fun facts: The Strange Creature is Jhallan as a Muspah, which are nightmare creatures formed from the corrupted dreams of the Elder God Mah, and sleeping Mahjarrat are capable of transforming into them when they have nightmares. In RS3, Jhallan is a friendly guy who accidentally turned into a Muspah in his sleep, and you end up freeing him and relocating and refreezing him close to the Ghorrock prison to help him evade the Ritual. The complete opposite of the horror game antagonist he became in OSRS. The entire Ghorrock prison area is a more puzzle-heavy remake of RS3's version, where you had to recover the Frostenhorn for the Temple at Senntisten quest, which unlocks Ancient Curses (which would have been introduced into OSRS as the Ruinous Powers before they got scrapped). Dr. Banikan is the same character as Dr. Nabanik from RS3. That's why Terry says his name wrong at first.

I like how most OSRS players constantly shit on regular RS, but they absolutely adore every bit of old content from it that makes its way to OSRS, albeit in a watered down, easier to understand format

I swear to god, that thing you said about how they don't actually need to sacrifice anyone? that's gonna be the conclusion of the quest chain, mark my words. We meet a 'good' majarrat who doesn't want to kill anyone and they end up being the last one alive or something. I bet the ritual just gives them turbo skeleton powers and isn't actually vital for their survival. They just don't know how to live without their god hacks on.
