@@sweis12 leg in air = pray mage, big stomp = pray range, use long range with any range weapon and just focus on swapping between range and mage prayers. When little heal douchenozzles come, click one of them right after a prayer swap and go back to swapping prayers. Repeat that for all four healers then just auto attack Jad focusing on swapping between the two prayers. The hardest part is not getting too excited. Dealing damage might make for a faster run but the goal is to not die. If you need to stand still not attacking and sorting your prayers out and calming down, then do it. Remember there is nothing on the line and the 45 minutes or so it took to get there is nothing in comparison to any skill related grind. Slow and steady.

This is also what a lot of people seem to forget when they call RS3 "EasyScape" or that you can level up too fast... The game has *28* different skills, some of them go beyond 99 and requires 8x more experience to 'max out' than said 99's. Many of the people that played RS back in the day have grown up and have lives to attend to, and don't have the time to grind like they used to, just like you mentioned. RS3 simply caters more towards having people experience the new and exciting content released, a lot of it that happens to be towards the end-game (for relevancy's sake). Glad to see you're enjoying the game again! The lore sure is amazing, and if there's one suggestion I'd give to people trying out RS3 - *Don't space-bar through quests!* - you might actually find that you'll enjoy questing a lot more when you understand what's going on and get to part-take in all the little intricacies of the dialogues/cutscenes! :)

I actually recently started playing RS3 this last month. In fact, it's the first time I've ever tried playing ANY runescape game, ever. All I can say is WOW, THE QUESTS!!! THE FRIGGIN QUESTS!! They actually make you feel like you did something. They have little cutscenes and stories that are so awesome and don't take themselves too seriously but still provide very satisfying gameplay! I keep saying it over and over - the quests I have played in RS3 remind me SO MUCH of the optional quests in Zelda: OOT, and Zelda: MM on the n64. Even some of the "boss battles" at the end of the quests remind me of zelda, having to learn the attack pattern of the enemy, work around it, to do whatever it is you need in order to deal damage. It all started with me, for whatever reason, thinking "Maybe it would be fun to play WoW again"..... and I sat and thought about this a lot over a period of several weeks....but all I could think of is how boring and long the early parts of the game are, and how many times i've already done that, and debating if it was worth it to do all of it again just to access the more recent content. Bottom line is that WoW quests "TELL" instead of showing, and at the end of the day I couldn't find it in me to play that game again. .......BUT THEN! It was brought to my attention that several members of the HAM radio group I hang out with like to play RS3......and since I have never played runescape at all, in any form, decided to give it a shot.... and holy CRAP I don't regret it! MY CURRENT GOAL is actually to take the game nice and slow and enjoy the quests for awhile before I start to actually grind hard. Runescape 3 is quickly becoming "comfort media" for me..... a game I default to, a game i can play while doing other things, and a game that is literally unexplored by me at all.

i get the appeal but it also drags the game down badly. the point of the grind is to learn the game and everything it has to offer. this game is so simple and drops so much xp that you literally dont learn anything. you literally skip 80% of the game doing that. at that point your not even playin anymore. i played rs back in 2003-2009 and i knew the map like i knew my own city. i knew quests, drops and lure. you also had to learn how to pvp because it wasnt just point and attack, it was switching gear and positioning. their was also high risk vs reward. rs3 is just brainless but i get it. its easier to play when you are an adult.

Nothing is on any sort of power level, and the drama is created by the game's politics and factions. When all is said and done, we feel more the absolute fucking thrill of getting the Fremennik to faction with the Falador Knights and kill some dragon much more than we remember the dragon fight. Questing by release order definitely wouldn't work in RS3, because of some removals of older ones and some changes to miniquests instead of quests, so you wouldn't have enough QP to do dragon slayer, for example, if you go by release order. However, RS3 has a "Timeline" order you can sort by in the quest list, which is the true canonical story order of the full quest list - that's the actual recommended order to do them in on RS3.

Really happy with the team's decision to split the lore of OSRS and RS3 as well. Really cool stories in RS3 and they expand on a lot of the past history of RS. Learning more about the Gods and the creation of Gielinor and learning more about the Elder Gods has been awesome. I wanted to look up the best money makers so I could point and laugh at the inflated economy and ended up seeing that the best money maker was killing Zamorak. Not K’ril, Zamorak. You fight Zamorak, the god. I needed an explanation. And so I started reading up on the lore and shit that happens in the quests. I learned about the elder gods, I learned about the Mahjarrat, I got to see images of what all the gods looked like (Guthix straight up looks like an NFT), I read up on the quest where Guthix fucking DIES - my god, I think I almost wanna play this game… or at least watch someone do it.

I'm not sure about necessarily doing a "By Release" series in RS3 (although that would nice), as that would be quite tedious in some areas, but you definitely need to experience some or all of these grandmaster quests. I'm not sure if you were the "Quest Man" back years ago, but While Guthix Sleeps, Ritual of the Mahjarrat are phenomenal quests, as well as virtually every end of each of the longer quest series' (morytania, freminnik, mahjarrat, gods/elder gods, etc. are all amazing).

Gwd2 has bosses that drop level 80 gear and simple, reaction based mechanics like area effects to move away from and minions, and it gives you a great taste of what some of the bossing in the endgame will look like while not being too complex. Arch glacor has an awesome system where you can choose to enable and disable individual special attack mechanics before the fight so that you can practice how to respond to them super easily, it's awesome.
