    Tbh, my least favorite thing about DMC5 is how grey and boring grey some of the bosses (and most everything else) are. I like the idea of DMC with a grittier color palette but they should still have a little color

    I agree that Dante is stronger than Kratos however saying fodder Daemons are stronger is stupid, lady who is a normal human kills them with ease and humans are clearly shown as humans like us, which is the baseline for power across all universes.

    Dante has to stab himself with DSD to absorb him, if you look at Vergil the blue things on his arms are Yamato on the right arm and the sheath on the left ( in all of his sheathing animation in SDT Vergil will sheath the Yamato in the blue thing on his left arm )

    The DLC felt really fair until the last boss the phase 2 is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in gaming I did beat him but he took me more time then every other boss in the dlc combined

    When you were explaining dimensions, im pretty sure thats not how dimensions work right? If dante was a 9th dimensional being, wouldnt he be able to just exist in every timeline and change his reality by being able to go fowards and backwards in time? Correct me if im wrong please.

    That would be true if the verse itself had lower dimensionality than him. But the whole verse would be 9D so it’s basically the same as a 3D being in a 3D verse (tho unfortunately the Peak of Combat stuff has recently been proven non canon)

    Definitely had my moments of frustration with a few bosses, but for the people throwing the DLC down and claiming its overtuned and needs nerfing It's very likely they just aren't aware of how important the Sacudatree and Revered Ash Fragments are, they are literally a balancing item to put everyone on a somewhat even level. That level being, you MUST find these upgrades or you WILL have a bad time. Otherwise you'd walk in at level 200+ stomp every boss and then comment on how easy it was.

    I think the “too hard” sentiment was just because players who completed the game hopped back on after a while of not touching the game for a long time they’re out of practice

    Meh. I think's it's just a load of hooplah. The same thing happens every time a fromsoft game comes out. There are those who love it, and the weaklings that complain about it being too hard. Only difference is that Elden Ring has the biggest playerbase by a longshot and won GOTY. So naturally the whiners croud is a bit louder this time 'round.

    What I love about Elden Ring/Dark Souls Series is that it doesn't start you off as some sort of amazing main character with super special skills like in most RPGs. It starts you off as some sort of mortal. You're a person, a Tarnished with no specialty other than what you start with (In my case, a loin cloth and a whacking stick) but it's your journey that makes strengthens you. Whether you want to burn the Erdtree yourself in Frenzied Flame or bring in the reign of Magic, you had to undertake a journey filled with hardships and difficulties. Yes the DLC is hard, but to me that's just like with any other journey.

    I've got 20 hours in Elden Ring. Not the type of game I normally play (RTS) but I've been having fun with it for the most part. I've had 2 characters get trapped in a dungeon by a big bear in a ruined house and I can't escape.

    I used to think the Furnace Golems were pretty hard.... Then I spent 2 days getting through the 2 big bad dragons on Jagged peak. Getting used to dodging those F-you stomp AoEs turned the golems into child's play (when the terrain isn't fighting you)

    Other than final boss, my only boss i beyond hated was a reused one on the mountain. Without essentially cheesing it, it did not feel like a "git gud" boss.

    I can totally understand frustration is all. It just feels like youre cornered into the best weapons in the game, which a lot of people just dont feel like using. Builds that can beat the game feel like rl1 against some of these bosses, which simply is not fun for a lot of people. Im fine to accept that I am just bad, but i think the frustration of having to use gimmicky stuff when normal builds are fine to beat the game is completely understandable. The attack chain problem is tripled by the insane heath pools. Comparing the damage i am doing full build to the final boss of the game, versus what i am doing with 8 fragments to the first boss is just completely incomparable. If i wanted to play osu or geometry dash i would. But i am playing elden ring, i dont want 15 minute spamml sequences that i have to be absolutely perfect for. Maybe some balance between the two, where an enemy with endless chain attacks does not have more health than fire giant. But every boss has infinite chains, and every boss has an unbelievable amount of health.

    Last boss was definitely one of the hardest From has ever made but all other ones were fine, sure they were real agressive but if you're used to DS3 or Bloodborne they're par for the course. Honestly ppl should know that From always puts the hardest bosses in DLC

    I don't get it, if japanese studio decides to create a 3D Goku game with realistic faces and bodies to ours, but with powers of the anime, this will mean that Goku will be a 9D being instead of 2D ?

    I think the bosses are overly aggressive because they're not really meant to be taken on solo, fighting the death knight alone vs with even 1 other person is such a different experience. I don't prefer that design method because i usually enjoy to walk around alone, because i tend to constantly run and fight and my buddy's don't enjoy that. But it is what it is My only other criticism i can think of RN is that the damage numbers are skewed too far towards ashes of war, my axe attacks do little bites but my ashes chunk. But that's a criticism i have of the base game too

    People want hard games but when they get hard games they start crying I give you the sonic franchise we had piss easy games for a decade so sonic team actually responded to the criticism in making the games harder like with Sonic frontiers final horizons and sonic superstars And so many people started whining after that because now its too hard because they actually have to play good You played final horizons some people just stopped playing the game at the towers because too hard and apparently unfair Sonic superstars the final bosses are really hard it took me 2 hours for eggman and 3 hours for Fang the second final boss but those 2 fights where awesome but the community had a mental breakdown calling them unfair because it’s difficult for a change This is the same principle here They made it harder because people wanted that but now its too hard apparently and that equals bad 💀 You get what I mean

    Its simple your 3 recourses are managed by 3 different moves that pull you close A flamethrower is a close ranged weapon A chainsaw is close range and a glory kill is close range

    I think what threw some people off was the fact that the base game of ER had characters that could get overleveled and make bosses a complete joke, it seems Miyazaki picked up on that and crafted the DLC in a way that forces you to explore and made the bosses tougher too. I personally love SOTE and you can tell the team put a LOT of work into it

    I'm gonna say this and I'm prob gonna sound like a gatekeeper but what we're seeing right now is the "Great Filtering of Elden Ring". Ppl got too complacent with their over powered/over tuned set ups to a point where they genuinely believe that they were gonna breeze through the dlc while any fromsoft soulsbourne vet KNOWS that the dlc is gonna be brutal from past experiences. There is some VALID criticism of the dlc like hit boxes and boss attack string, that's understandable. But the main thing I've been hearing is that the dlc is "too hard" which is a bit ridiculous IMO cause fromsoft always delivers the challenge in their dlcs and like what you said, it's endgame content. Endgame content being endgame content, it's SUPPOSED to be hard. If it was easy and ppl breezes through it, then alot of ppl would not be happy with their purchase. I would actually be pissed tbh cause I set up a char 2yrs ago before the dlc, that char was designed to go through the hardships of the dlc. If I legit just bursted down the bosses with 1-2 hits, I wouldn't be having fun.

    The one thing we missed in DOOM the Dark Ages trailer and didn't realize it. Bare hands glory kills. I mean the flail is cool as hell but I want to see the slayer just say "Duck it" and beat them with the shield (I know it replaces the chainsaw glory kills but it's cool as hell)

    The strategizing the stagger as to not kill the demon out right was one of the main things I've prioritized when playing Eternal. So in my findings: Two body shot heavy cannon rounds or 2~3 plasma bolts: Imps, zombies Or a unscoped headshot but they cant have taken any damage before (flame belch don't count except for when it does) One Point Blank Shotgun, a sticky bomb on the ground next to them not on next to, 3~5(?) heavy cannon shots, or some plasma (i donno): For a basic zombie man But for the shield shotguner dick heads: A scoped shot in the feet under the sheild or sometimes around it(?) Sticky Bomb the ground and have them walk over it or just behind them. Prowlers: If undamaged, one Ballista or a direct hit with a rocket Doom Hunters: Two Blood Punch (use sheild for added defence) and one burst of lock on rockets, wait until it's done with it's animation of getting out of the tank but keep your rockets locked on it while it's getting out. Carcasses: One blood punch if it's undamaged. It's really satisfying because I fucking hate them. Occasionally (48% success) cyber mancubi: Two sets of Lock on Rockets and a SSG blast will either kill em or stagger.

    What I fucking love so much now with the Dark Age is how we have a near seamless transition between melee and gunplay. Doomguy has a morning star that can effectively stagger even the prototype Doom Hunters from the trailer! After playing a lot of Ultrakill and the DMC games, I genuinely started wanting parrying as well. Using the shield as moveable cover too makes the hitscanning enemies more manageable too. The Arachnotrons we encounter seem to have a hitscan minigun, but despite that, the shield is a reliable way of avoiding its damage. This also kinda evolved how the player encountered the zombie marines and Archviles in Doom 1 and 2. Finding nearby cover is a reliable way of avoiding damage.

    If the soul is 9th dimensional, couldn't it just be that when in the body we have a few slices of it (like a 3d person going in 2d sace would appear as slices of them), but when out of the body it's the full thing?

    Glory kills are about that risk vs reward. You could get close but the guy in glory kill mode is sorrounded by demons. Or you predicted poorly when you can glory kill an enemy, you get glose but it slaps you. I especially remember how important those decisions where on the 2 DLC's cause difficulty ramped up so much!

    7:45 Devil May Cry came out a bit later that year, which makes them siblings with Resident Evil as their parent. It was also a running theme on the late 90's/early 2000's to mid 2000's, where many franchises where born out of Resident Evil, or inspired by it. Many being made by Capcom themselves and later on, said franchises started entire genres, or inspired even more franchises. Onimusha and Devil May Cry are well known, but Dino Crisis, Hunting grounds, among others, are also part of the Resident Evil influence. Best examples being Onimusha & Devil May Cry being the inspirations for God of War, which in turn inspired a legion of clones, or Devil May Cry being the progenitor for Bayonetta, which in turn became the skeletton for Metal Gear Rising and Nier Automata.
