I have nothing to say regarding general dmc3 discussion, society by now has formed a definitive opinion on this game, so I'll just talk preferences. So, weapons: 1) I like Rebellion in dmc3 but it does a bit too much damage. 2) Cerberus doesn't really need mobility options, it gives a lot of defense. 3) Agni and Rudra is generally the best weapon, for aerial combos specifically. 4) Nevan is not unpopular. I think this weapon has weak scythe attacks with swordmaster, so unfortunately it's coolness comes from performing mini special attacks rather than truly comboing. 5) Beowulf in dmc slightly edges over Balrog as my favorite gauntlets, but only because Balrog punches are done only with one hand and are underwhelming, while Beowulf has the option to go super and shower a single enemy with strikes. Doppelganger is a good style, but is better for Vergil, mainly because clones are bound to have default sword and Yamato is better, and because without choosing delay window the clone is just double damage, which is unnecessary. Quicksilver, on the other hand, is wonderfulI, both good for damage, combos and control of the fight. I think its working well as Nero's breaker, but Dante just has more instruments to make it more interesting. Enemies in dmc3 are an obvious issues in the game. dmc5 has probably the best roster but only because it's the least annoying while not being great. Some ideas from dmc3 enemies were not remade better in future games, which is a semi missed opportunity. So while it has a lot of stinkers, enemy roster in dmc3 is the most entertaining one. I guess that's generally it.

i really like how dmc tells its story as well, yeah a good bit of it is locked behind the reading material but theres so much environmental story telling, take the dt forms of 3, in 4 its just 1 but thats just because Dante has gotten strong enough with his demon power to have it be all him instead of needing to channel a weapon, its also seen by the distortion and lightning flickering off of Dante while hes in his dt, but vergil in 4 still has 2 separate DT's because THAT version of vergil is from the past. Its so cool.

@@EightUltra its like people can't understand when a game doesn't spoonfeed and instead let's you figure out the story for yourself. Its like people where were weirded out when elden ring was nominated for best narrative because of the unique way it tells the story

@@samgourhan207 oh for sure for sure. It’s the same here in the U.S. most people only play the most mainstream games and even people who k ow of DMC usually have never or have only played it a bit. Even in my personal life I don’t know anyone outside of my gf who I got into the series who has played DMC. Only people online unfortunately

You planning on covering every mainline game (including the reboot?)

Yeah man there’s a couple tips I can give When he enters DT you can either stay away from him and wait out hiss form until it runs out or use your DT to hit him a few times to knock him out of it DT explosion also does massive damage as well Whenever he does a combo dodge away from him then hit him with stinger

Your critique of gunslinger really sounds like you don’t really know how to use it. It’s not “Sword master but for gun” it massively boost their damage, when using charge shot you can literally kill an enemy with 5 shots. You can also press the shoot and style button at the same time to shoot twice as fast and the enemies can’t even recover add that with the ability to shoot all around you and the enemies can’t even get near you if you keep track on them. I highly recommend you giving a bit more time to gunslinger cause some of the annoying enemies like the blood goyle or those things that can only be hit when you don’t face them aren’t even a problem with that style, it’s the funnest style in the game for me
