    I use only distilled in my coolant. No minerals to cake up or conduct current. Pure water is a resistor of elec. Of course add glycol for freezing or crack metals.

    Do you ever install a check valve at top of well just above the sanitary seal? In my area most well pump installers in your area of western North Carolina do it.

    What is the best method for installing a 1 1/4 inch bass nipple to a 1 HP submersible pump with plastic threads to prevent possible unscrewing from torque twist?..thank you.

    I'd say for emergency out-of-service call-out plus insurance will be billed for pay-out. So 5 hrs. no heavy equipment. 2 people $1500.00 + tank & other parts.

    Supply store was out of the 30-50 low pressure shut off…Can I use the 40-60 low cut off and modify it to work as 30-50? How do you know if your well needs a low pressure shut off?

  • @h2omechanic
    @h2omechanic12 сағат бұрын

    @stevevandelinde1204 yes you can use it. Just set the tanks air pressure to 35psi (make sure the tanks empty of all water when you add air to the tank). Typically wells that run dry need a low cut out switch as a added safety.

    It won't freeze in the winter as long as he shuts off the PVC valve inside and and cracks open the hose bib.

    I had a similar issue. Our basement flooded. The bottom pipe on the pressure tank rusted thru. I replaced the tank with a big box store tank. It worked great for the first year. Then, whenever taking a shower, the pressure would drop so low that the shower would turn off and switch to the tub spicket. I decided to investigate after letting it do that for a few months. The tank air pressure was set right. Switch turned on and off when it was supposed to. The water pressure was great directly from the tank faucet. I decided to removed the shut off valve a few feet from the tank. Inside the plumbing looking directly at me was a little red pipe cap/plug. I quickly got my needle nose pliers and removed it before it could go any further into the house. I do not know where it came from. It was too small to fit the pipes before it or on the pressure tank. I am glad I found it when I did. We don't have a filter. The next opening in the plumbing was 20 feet away! I think it got dropped into the pressure tank at the factory or a prankster put it in at a store.

    Water dowsing is very scientific! Gravity never goes away and the vectoral forces acting on the rods along with the inconsistent manner in, which the dowser holds the rods and walks guarantees tye desired result!

    Thank you! You information helped me! I watched a couple of your videos and determined I probably put to much air pressure into my tank. I shut off valves to pump and house and released some air from the tank. Pump now is kicking out at 40 and turning on again at 20.

    It's not really your problem to fix it on July 4th only because they couldn't be bothered to come in and evaluate it in any of the weeks before. You answered a callback on July 3rd already, the only thing you need to worry about is your family. Unless you did the call to not get your family sick during July 4th by being out of the house, and even that's not quite the best way to deal with illness.

    Why do you guys you that black poly pipe? We have had problem with pulling pumps after they sit in there for 20 to 30 years they like to come in two when pulling the deeper ones. That just mine and my father experience in this line of work. No hate here keep up the good work and wish you luck!

    I'm surprised VA doesn't require relief valves, I've seen the 1/4" brass nipple to the pressure switch block up and hang up the switch and overpressurize the system, otherwise hope you're feeling better!

    My original comment got removed so let's try a different wording: You probably don't actually have "it". When I was overseas (Isle of Man) I got sick, thought it was "it", pharmacist knew it wasn't and warned me NOT to take "the test" until AFTER 36 hrs or when my fever broke, whichever happened first. I took it before the 36 hrs and it was positive (FALSE positive). 24 hrs later, tested again..negative. 2 days after, tested yet again..negative.

    I had very little water pressure and system was not kicking on. I replaced my 100lb psi pressure tank with a 100psi water tank which I'm sure was bad, and I replaced the pressure switch witch was a 30 50 with a 30 50. Still same problem. Well is not kicking on. I've flipped the switch several time to no avail. The pressure gauge is reading 25 to 28. Any thoughts?

    I have a well that was drilled in 1963 as per my documents. I replaced the existing pump/motor that was 19 years old on July 3, 2019. I just replaced the pump/motor 5 years to the day, 2024, with the same F&W 4F10S07301. I have the cloudy water as indicated in your video. If I perform the same procedure, is that putting undo stress on the pump/motor and running discolored or cloudy water through the new pump potentially damaging the pump? I understand that either way, cloudy water is running through system no matter what I do!. The removal of the 6 x 20' sections of 1" PVC was a back breaker! I don't want to do that again for a Long time! I live in CO across the (street) Highway from the Crystal River......Thanks!

Hopefully the American people don't buy into that garbage again. Its tough to work while be sick. Kudos to you and I hope that family stays well and doesn't get the China virus or the "common cold". 😊
