  Gilgit baltistan is most beautiful region on Earth in terms of mountain scenery. Naltar lakes are so beautiful in summer. I am from minimarg valley in Southern Gilgit baltistan region in Astore district . You must visit minimarg in July or late June . It's probably most beautiful place in Gilgit region.

  It was very cold! But having these amazing places all to yourself free of any other tourists was a very special experience 🇵🇰 luckily we had warm clothing and jackets with us! Thank you for watching ☺️

  It was indeed a very different experience in 90's. Towns and villages along the kkh were very remote and there were not much facilities tbh I had a mixed feeling of joy and fear in 90's while travelling on kkh at full moonlit night. It was August then and Indus river was roaring . It was horrific 😂

  ​@@AshAndDan.yeah no smartphones at all, when we reached karimabad it took us 1 hour at pco (public calling office) to contact back home through landline and to inform our families that we reached hunza safely. Dialing and trying again and again and eventually the call got connected you know. I want to add one more thing, no local Pakistani tourists in hunza that I came across, only European tourists

  Yeah we were just showing what the view is meant to look like on a clear day to show how big the mountain is. We went in winter so the weather isn’t as good ☺️ still amazing to visit any time of year though 😀

It is not part of Pakistan and the country has ruled us for 76 years illegally. We reserve the right to self determination according to the universal bill of human rights and we are demanding total internal autonomy from Pakistan. Since we do not have media and communications networks of our own, the state of Pakistan has built this false narrative that we are happy under its illegitimate rule. The truth is we are not and we want democracy in Gilgit Baltistan. Please highlight this or at least try to learn more about it from locals. Please give a voice to locals.

  You might not know kkh is called as 8th wonder of wold, it's a marvel of engineering by Pakistani and Chinese engineers who worked together on this road and lost their lives, there's a cemetery of engineers and workers at some point on kkh which I have forgotten the exact place, I think the construction of kkh was started in 1968
