17 HOURS ON PAKISTAN'S MOST DANGEROUS ROAD! 🇵🇰 ISLAMABAD TO GILGIT-BALTISTAN | Karakoram Highway

Finally the day is here where we can begin sharing our trip up to Northern Pakistan!
Our day begins super early as we are picked up by our driver for the day Mohammad. We hit the road leaving behind Islamabad and get ready for the long 13 hour drive... or so we thought!
The Karakoram Highway or KKH is one of the most DANGEROUS roads in Pakistan. We were taking this trip at the end of February and just days before we were due to make the journey, parts of the KKH had to be closed due to heavy rain and landslides!
We had planned to take the bus but due to the road closure all buses were booked up for a week and we didn't have the time to hang around. We managed to arranged a private car and driver who would take us to Gilgit. The total cost of the car was 33,000 PKR which is around 94.00 GBP.

There's two way to go Gilgit one through Chillas which you've been through which is long route and difficult road but there's another route through Naran valley which is completely good and short too maybe it was close due to landslide Hope you enjoy :)

It was one incredible adventure! Although the road to Snowdon is scenic it has nothing on the Karakoram Highway 😂

Lots more northern vlogs to come! We definitely find out how cold it is up beside the China/Pakistan border- even colder than Scotland 😂 but the cold is worth it as Northern Pakistan is an insanely beautiful area!

Don’t worry about roads bcz in emergency situations highways authorities are very quick response to traffic clearance and traffic passing through roads safely wonder of world roof of world peeks of Naga perbat and K2 happy ur journey and happy trip

One hell of a journey. Massive credit goes to the driver, He did a good job. Its no easy job! Most of the people take a flight for this reason. Even the flights are risky because of the huge mountains on all sides.

We felt safe to be fair when we visited! Although the road is dangerous, if you have a skilled driver it makes you safer. Thanks for watching 👍

Dam construction going around in dasu chinese workers are building it thats may be the reason roads are not good on that patch but there is also a other route in naran babusar to gilgit it closed because of big glaciers that road is super good

It’s a long long road! We definitely needed a lot of rest after it. We felt sorry for the driver but he did an amazing job 😃

Very true, it’s a difficult journey! The drivers have a dangerous job. Hopefully in the future more of the road can be paved to make it easier for local people to travel 🙏🏼
