I've done some research on this very question, but I'm sure my opinion wouldn't be welcomed. It would be considered divisive. I recommend you, Google Project 2025, specifically search their plans for food stamps & Medicaid.

how can a recall expire? its not like the car magically repairs itself
the social workers aren't experts either--they act so dumb they should be under guardianship. a man with autism living on his own was denied medicaid (he previously had SSI, now has DAC) because he can't verify a bank account that was closed YEARS AGO and the bank actual shut down and has been sold twice..and they refuse to accommodate his disability and take the extra time to help him.

Here in Vermont the double up is only good at Vermont farmers markets. You go to the customer service tent at any local farmer market, you get 10 dollars for every 10 you spend, they give it to you in tokens

Nicole i once had a grant for my house. It was some repairs. It wasn't a loan but if we moved i think it was a 5 or 10 year contract it was free if we lived in the house. If we sold before the time was up it was to be pro-rated returned to our county to help another in need in our area. So not ALL GRANT'S are not repaid in a contract. But most grants are not a loan but always ask. Is how i would put it. Love you 🤗
in my area we only have a farmer's market, the food is so expensive there you get the same amount of food.
I like double up but some of the stores are too far away or if you go there they say they don't take them anymore.
Many programs are out of funds, because of the strain of millions of new Aliens brought into America by Biden. Everything is being pushed to extinctions.
If you use your FOODSTAMPS at farmers markets and other stands, you pay 50% of the price. That is why it's double bucks. You are paying half the price. In Connecticut, there is a farmers market card for $60 from the gov.

Here in Los Angeles county I can walk into a wic mothers store and shop up to 60 dollars of fresh fruits and veggies and get 60$ right back into my EBT card 😊 once a month .

Liz, are you still doing that now, in July? In the past, I typed my disappointment here about that program. It had been hyped to begin in October of '23, was delayed until March of '24 and promptly CANCELLED in April. A local news site ran an article about people lining up at a store on the last day and discussing how sad and frustrated they were.

Again, no matter your age you can get free government commodities delivered to you once a month through Human Resources Services/ Community Services and through them if you are 62 or older you can get a Farmer’s Market Vouchers not the Counsel On Aging! Counsel On Aging helps the aged and disabled but, they do not help food assistance, the only food assistance program you can get on through them is Meals On Wheels! 7:39
