Got my LIHEAP payment, I turn off my lights and use night lights in the kitchen and bathroom at night. The lasagna ppl reached out to me as well to ask if I had dietary limitations, I guess she has my physical address as she didn't ask for that. if your older someties a tooth cant be save i had it happen the dentist only wanted money and i sued him by the govt office and he repayed me it shd have been removed if you have few teeth it will break

We need 'free stuff' because we are poor, and we can't work-hard our way into 'Mercedes money', for a number of faults with the system, probably since childhood. I know why I'm here, and I have seen a side of human society no one is supposed to know about, and I'm one of the fortunate ones. My life could have been exponentially worse, but I'm on a disability pension, and need help keeping a roof over my head until the Cola increases enough. Thank you for your channel, this is such a lifeline for us!

Aka and not everyone on disability or fixed income lives off of free stuff, that’s not how it works! You get benefits and you can get certain things for free but, we all pay our monthly bills and, aren’t given a bunch of free handouts but, if there is something that comes available in our state to to give us some extra help we are very appreciative of it!

Nicole & Cat research all these necessities FREE...at some point it's up to YOU to take over. I have seizures due to oxygen deprivation to my brain, so the *CC/Closed Caption & pause button* are a godsend for me. If you need an advocate/helper....it's YOUR right to have one. So please advocate for yourself and also try your best to take care of yourself whilst that's still an option. My life changed forever in 2005 at a young age. I've lost my dignity in huge chunks over these past 7 yrs. I still fight for others as well as myself. It's my b-day today & I just found out 3 hours ago my gas had to be turned off due to a "small leak." That's a heck of a gift for anybody let alone a shut-in who requires an oxygen machine to keep her brain from killing her. I reside in a very cold state that's going to have rain & snow soon. If I can navigate through the mucked up directions I've been presented today...there's NO reason why you can't discover a remedy for your woes. ~ Covah

No, not the following month, in the yrs ahead! Besides, you at least have to be 62 before you can even collect Social Security, use common sense here folks!

I received $1,2000 last august from LIHEAP. Since my electric bill is $110 a month I have a few more months where my electric is covered. The lady from liheap told me I could apply again in august. Now I’m just trying to find help for paying rent and somewhere to get my mobile home repaired. I only get SSI and only get $942 and my lot rent is $780 and will be going up again in June I’m sure.

I'm receiving 1/4 of what's "normal" for my very frigid state, so PLEASE make those funds last as long as you can. If you're unable to find what you need on this site and/or have difficulty advocating for yourself...call the office of which your LIHEAP funds were distributed through. They already have your financial documents at hand & just might be able to help you with these other necessities. Take care, ~ Covah
