Looks beautiful and delicious. I would take mine without the sauce but I know your doing competition and that's what the judges like but they have bad taste lol. Your brisket don't need sauce it looks 🔥 on its own.

Just made a rack per your instructions except also gave it very light top coat of the old Rib Tickler. Top 3 rib in anyone’s book. Great balance and color. 👍👍👍

Smoke ring likely from cherry wood. I get about the same color with my ribs, but it could also be the cause too.
Camera contrast is ridiculously high to make the video colors sharper

More than likely a little corn syrup, adds sweetness and a little shine
I only hope that it’s a smoke ring, but… skepticism is hard to overcome looking like that.

Did you put any water in the bottom of the roaster or just put the brisket straight down on the bottom and not on the rack?
