Did you connect the positive and neg directly to the battery??
Walcam to the Philippines sir your pradak I m a entirestied
It doesn’t fucking work been trying for 3 damn hours
Very good explanation!
mine did this today...put in drive to leave, had to put back in park to grab something, got back in to put in drive and nope lol. my bushing just crumbled when i touched it. still need to put the new one in
Nice vid and nice job!
Awesome video thanks buddy.
You need to take this video down You need a srewpin shackle from tree saver to snatchblock those soft shackles anything less than 2 inch diameter you loose over 60% of capacity on the soft shackle
Nobody talks about numbers The only thing that matters Is working load limit. 8,000 winch loses 11% every LAYER its wrapped around winch drum. Synthetic line you need 10 minimum wraps and 5 steel. People working load limit. Is key
Thanks for the very helpful video. One step to I did to gain access to the cable was removing the 2 bolts that hold that cable bracket to frame. With shifter in Park, the cable dropped down for easy access to insert the bushing
Dust devils form when the the air on the surface on the earth are hotter than the surrounding air so it rises and the surrounding air fills in the air thats going up
@2:50min - can't find that 'nextup' desert test
Is the clearance of the shackle pin through the bumper lug critical ? I have several different shackles that seem too loose in the lug. I can’t find an exact fit. I would assume the better the pin fits, the more the load is better distributed in the lug, i.e., not concentrated in one area. Thanks
I have two Kawasaki MULE 610 XC’s. A 2012 and a 2013. They don’t get much use. However, they have the governed 400cc engine like this one. I have never had machines so reliable in my life. I have as much as put batteries in these UV’s and change the oil once a year. They are totally amazing.
Is the way the rack is secured to the cross rails safe with just those u bolts? Openroad didn’t send me u bolts with mine so I got some from the hardware store. Just want to make sure it’s not gonna fly off or rip the rails and cross bars off.
use glue dots (Zots) little dots of sticky rubber like the ones credit cards come with in the mail. Some headliners do not hold the velcro and need to be pinned in. these come in roll or sheet, used for posters etc.
These videos are not a good idea at all man. You did a dam fine job honestly, but the city boys watching and needing such a how to video in the first place genuinely do not belong out in the middle of nowhere in the first place, they're helpless. Rather you gain said knowledge through first hand experience, gaining knowledge and actually skill. If you build a somewhat capable lame rig to us but incredible to you great, but you dk wtf you're doing and there's always a weak link somewhere, we know how to avoid trouble but they don't, so they're either going to get stuck or have something break. If something like that happens and they don't have their center of their entire existence, they're CELLPHONE signal they're in extremely serious danger. Where I live you cal walk for hours without reception or people on a "popular" trail, that's for real. A helpless city boy who doesn't belong there in the first place who most likely was trying to show off to some girl is now in very real danger, now let me get Into the bears, very big cats, moose and even snakes they'll kill you just for breathing for christ sake.... Again great video, but man if I were you make sure to explain to the city boys and especially beginners don't you ever go wheelin alone as you do what you're doing. They'll never admit it up untill the situation arises and it always will, only a matter of time where even we have struggled like hell to get home, many times just barely. So ride with others, where you always have help and options, alone must only ever be left to us legitimately lifers born out in the middle of nowhere forced to learn and adapt, then addicted to big power capable trail rigs of all sorts we learned over DECADES and that's why we're being honest even ourselves struggle very seriously at times on our own Good luck everyone out on the trails, don't you ever throw or leave trash out in the mountains and don't ever leave nature destroyed. Keep a checklist of important items as corny as it sounds way out in the mountains it'll save your ass many more times than you care to admit lol only buy real, genuine equipment, and having an extra 80lbs of tools/gear is always a good thing. Bring plenty of water and food just incase. In time you learn just how much you didn't know for the first decade growing Into and unstoppable monster, able to crawl the steepest.hills, rock gardens, trees, swamps an pits with winching or breaking anything. It looks easy because it all becomes second nature, and we know helping each other really actually can save you in the most important ways so don't ever be a doosh bag and leave another stranded
Well presented and important offroad recovery advice! Joseph (Cape Town, South Africa)
Mine broke while I was on a date 🤦♂️
Did you help them? I want to go there some day in my bike... Does it look safe to go alone?
Hi ! What size is your rhino rack platform ?
how does it sound on the road?
This is the most helpful explanation of a snatch block ive seen yet !..2 thumbs up for explaining this !!
That's a ventilation shaft for a mine near by
Great video sir
I don't see the area where they mined the ore. Where are the mines? Cave or Open Pit !
What's funny is that, the mine is actually my family's and has been there since the 1870's and they still own the property!
I'm 15 minutes from there and I can't seem to find the darn trail for my SXS! lol
How loud is it on the road?
Need some help. I have a 2013 JKU with a 3.6. When i drive it it will will warm up fast and it tends to get up to the 1/4 mark psat normal. It will get over to where the red thermostat light comes on. I will pull o er and it will go to normal range. When i start driving again it will soon get very warm again. I have replaced the water pump radiator and thermostat. Any ideas.
What the price as is
About $11k out the door
Any suggestions for aftermarket dump bed assist?
How is the steering effort on one of these? Do you ever wish it had power steering? Our ranger crew is brutal to turn. Thanks!
I have owned my Australian carbureted version of the Mule for nearly two years. The steering effort is perfectly ok. I find it to be reasonably light, even at slow speed. I have seen mine up for night time shooting (which is perfectly legal here in Western Australia). I am a very satisfied owner. It is not a quick or powerful sxs, but it has a lot of off road ability. Its narrowness makes it feel a bit tippy on side slopes, but I have never looked like tipping over. I am, however be very careful on side slopes. The narrowness really helps get through tight places. Our local Kawasaki dealer sells a lot of these buggies to local dairies and vineyards. They are very reliable and long lasting. If you can live with the low performance they are a great buggy.
@@bruiser6479 Great. Thank you.
@AZoverland2017. How much power is lost due to the friction at the ring. It surely cant be as free as a snatch block.
Thank you
A lighter reflective colour for a roof would have been better. Using dhutterboard might give you some extra carry space.
Finally the answer i was looking for, and still took to 6:30 to get the answer. Looked at many different explanations, and no one explained why the snatch block gives you a mechnical advantage (usually a single pulley does not give you a mecahnical advantage). Its because the other end of the cable (attached to the bumper in this case) is taking half the load.
Camped out one night and they were laying out by the shade shack by the lake, seen me coming and didnt bother covering up until i was 20 feet away
I have just moved to Phoenix area, and have been traveling to Globe for work, some serious history out here. Thanks for sharing and God Bless you and yours.
I'm surprised this is a 2-piece roof. I got a 1 piece roof from Amazon (looks the same but 1 piece). It has worked great for years!
I did this project too, but I just used the foam board you use for school projects and such. I added batting to mine for a bit more insulation and a softer look/touch. I used a starry night pattern since my JL is Hydro Blue. Thanx for the idea.
Did you put a RTT on the rack?
Don't those gold ring type devices cause damaging friction against synthetic ropes?
There has been numerous tests done about the friction, and all the findings show that there is extremely minimal of any heat generated, and the smooth anodized finish agains the synthetic winch lines is non-abrasive.
This is an awesome video buddy. I am curious of doing this to my jeep. How are the headliners holding up ? Would you change anything different ?
They are holding up great! I wouldn’t change a thing.
@@BoldCanyonOutdoors sounds great. thank you for the reply. i will give it a try.
😂 awesome
So on stem topside of shock. Is it one under and one on top. With the rubber bushings.?
Well put
What mounting plate did you use
It’s the factory Kawasaki plate for Warn winch hole pattern
@@BoldCanyonOutdoors can you provide a link for this exact vehicle and winch?? Cannot seem to find it correctly
can those “ring” pulley take the abuse of a steel rope off the winch? i will always use a steep rope, but have been thinking maybe a couple of the plastic rope items. if for no other reason the just a couple more ways to get a good safe pull.
with my front winch on my cj-7. i can one line no other items pull my self back word. just by running the steel rope under the jeep. can not be done by the plastic rope. ( no pulleys or soft paces., the plastic will fail,) . but i am thinking of getting a couple “rings” and soft shackles for the tool box. as one can never have too many ways to hook up.
Madmatt has a vid w/cable under truck nosed in a ditch.✌️
