So, this is not a video showing how to make one? If not, it's shut showing off
this is honestly the best version of the chest freezer ive seen, thank you! the idea for the tranmission oil cooler is genius
Excellent idea. Next week my Jack Russel & I are driving cross country in my Astro with no A/C. This is a life saver.
Thanks 👀 ☺️ 😊
Heya. Ended up getting this ptc heater after watching this video. Do you know if a 12v stc-1000 would run this reliably
I would love to see you figure out how to put a very small A/C system inside an inline duct fan. It doesn't have to be anything like 8000 btu, but it does need to be able to cool a small space like a dog house. That would be awesome!
Excellent!
lol your still at it lol,,,,i watched your first ac SIY about 9 years ago lol....food job
Your unit has a very nice design.
Why didn't you take the damn sandwich up sooner ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Some microplastics won’t hurt anyone
Thx
I love your videos and projects! What kind of radiator are your using here? I wasn't able to find one like it.
I was wondering if this sort of arrangement would help humidify a greenhouse and keep the temperature in check. Thanks to you I have the answer without doing the experiment. Very useful.
good idea but a lot of work and the cost , that is a good project for the winter months Yea for now i like the gallon jugs in the freezer in a plastic pan in front of fan that works OK quick and ease not much cost nether dollar 25 for a dish pan at dollar tree, a block of wood in the meddle of pan fan blowing on the out side of the block of ice and their you have it works pretty good, air temp a gout 65 t0 69, works OK,
What did u use for liner tho?
Cut a piece of foam insulation to fit the top of the cooler and you don't have to destroy the cooler lid :)
0:50 You Think?????? Maybe that would have been helpful at the beginning of your video! 🤔
Thank you, you benefited the people in their hot country
Which ones cools down a room better? This one or the cooler one u posted 9 months ago with the sea foam blower? Thank u
hi. it's hard to say. i may have to do side by side tests. that sea foam blower one is definitely one of the strongest ones i've ever made.
Yay
With the cost of those coils now, you may as well just buy a dehumidifier...
What is the 'pad' made from ? What material do you use for it ?
hi. technically it's foamed polyester 👍🙂
Nice ,simple
Yes, thanks 🙂
aspen pads are good outside the house evap coolers, i never tried inside but yes could be messy inside but mine don't shed much outside in a standard cooler.
Great.. make a car heater like this... Saving of gasoline and engine life...
interesting idea. maybe use coper pipe and place the pipe near hot engine.
Just to clarify - the fan is sucking air through the back, through the damp pad, and blowing it out the front? It's not blowing air through the pad? I used to work overseas in a very dry area and we had these. I now live on the east coast of the USA where it is very humid so the chance of this working is not good. I'm going to pass this along to a friend who lives in an arid climate. Thanks.
hi there. pad is on back of fan. if you put the pad on the front it acts like a barrier and most of the air won't go through. yes, these struggle to work if the humidity it too high.
Other than that, I plan to make use of this method when the time comes. It's a great idea.
So out of all you ice chest air conditioner builds, do you have an absolute favorite?
hi. they all have their individual benefits so i can't say that i have a favorite.
Thank you for sharing all your great ideas… I live where it is very hot and very humid. How would you deal with all the condensation that the transmission cooler would create?
hi. any condensation will just drop to the bottom of the tube. over time a few drops might run out. i'd say just put a folded paper towel at the end of tube to catch it. (a small sponge might work too)
Run water in tubing around and around ans arount a freezer chest for at home use..lol
hi. i've thought about that but never tried it.
Awesome, as always!
hi and thank you!
Great idea. I was looking for something to use that was cleaner burning. In case of a power outage. I live in a really cold area and don't have a fireplace to rely on. I feel 10 of these on my kitchen table would pump out the heat you know. And probably not kill everyone inside right? Lol
hi. this alcohol lamp burns fairly cleanly, but for the cleanest burn possible, you might want to look at my 'ethanol blend fuel' alcohol lamp videos. i typically use 'indoor ventless fireplace fuel' in those. that is usually (if not always) an ethanol blend fuel.
So cool
hi and thank you!
I was thinking of making a carbon felt tabletop like firepit pit with a smaller paint can for to use in my chiminea. Do you think thise paint cans are too thin ?
that's an interesting idea. i think the paint cans are thick enough but i couldn't say for sure (since i haven't tried it)
Made one with large styrofoam cooler. Worked great for grand daughter’s dorm room which was sweltering hot. Thank you!
hi. that's great! 👍😎
Thank you brother keep em coming..
you bet.
Great workl!!! I'm gonna build one asap. Only thing i would change is i would insulate the cold water input tube to the house
Yeah these are all well and good but I don't have to keep running in and get nice what I'm asking is can I use the ice machine that I have that is a portable ice machine and or the refrigerator that I have the tiny refrigerator take out the element refrigerant elements turn that into an air conditioner using the refrigerant that I would use in a car or something like that I'm not trying to use no ice to make a refrigerator to make a freezer to make an air conditioner I don't want to have to use ice
May I ask if it's working with 48°c temperature 🤒
hi. yep, it will work at that temp. if you have air this hot (48c=118F) it is most likely very dry air, so this unit should work well.
Honestly man, probably the best eco friendly invention channel on KZread.
hi and thank you. eco-friendly is a good way to describe the channel. i like to focus on projects that are simple, useful, and practical with off-grid options and an emphasis on being eco-friendly (having solar power options etc.).
That is bad ass for the lake. Thanks for the tip, bro.
you're welcome! ✔🙂
How is the sand getting hot? Do you have to heat it on the stove first?
hi. options for heating the sand vary. lately, i've been looking into various off-grid options (parabolic cookers/fresnel lenses etc.). other 'off grid' options include DC heating elements. 12v ptc elements work well. those can be hooked directly to 12v solar panels or other 12v sources.
Thank you for good work, Is it possible if all air interance were closed except through radiator?
I built this as exactly as you shown and I took camping is freaking amazing
that's awesome! 🙂⭐
Thanks
you're welcome 🙂👍
Knowledge applied is power!!! Awesome job!!!!
hi, yes, and thank you very much! 😎✔
I wonder for cooler air could you cut a small hole for the fan cord an keep the fan or a small window fan locked an attached to top of cooler top inside without a larger second hole to push more cold air around then out the main exhaust?
Does it also work with fridges?
Please tell me where you got the 12v fan
hi. i got it at walmart (sold in their auto dept.). you can also find these on amazon
