    Will dye in sulfuric acid complicate your ability to make iron sulfate? Because I have failed at every attempt and doing so. But I've always used a sulfuric acid with a dye in it. NOT really the subject of this video, just side tracked I suppose.

    Sir i have problem in extraction of copper metal from my waste nitrate solution, When i add iron plate to my nitrate solution iron hydroxide is precipitated instead of copper metal, why this happened and how to avoid it?

    As it's a salt of a strong acid, ammonium nitrate is mildly acidic to begin with, unlike sodium nitrate. I wonder if it might work faster than the sodium salt?

    Adding organics to refining is not a good idea unless you know what you are doing. There is the possibility of creating an unstable compound.

    Chemistry is not your strong point because you put the dry stuff in first and ad liquids next and if you don't put so much water in. It will generate your own heat.

    Hi nice video, can I use calcium nitrate instead of sodium nitrate? Thanks

  • @GeoONE
    @GeoONE6 ай бұрын

    No. The calcium will rob the solution of sulfuric acid by producing calcium sulfate. Calcium sulfate is a off white, pearlescent solid that will clog filters.

    Incomplete video. When someone scraps a computer and collects all the wiring, some wires will be pure copper, and some wires will be plated. The question is: what is the plating, tin, nickel, solder or silver? And how to chemically test it for silver before going through the trouble of stripping and hoarding the wire for future processing. I'd like to know.

    There's way easier ways toake nitric acid. Get some calcium nitrate or some other water retning nitrate salt. Then just add sodium bicarbonate, boil it down to supersaturation and let it cool down to room temperature. Collect the sodium nitrate crystals and biol it down some more to crystallize the rest. Edit: it has to be distilled with H2SO4 to get 68% nitric.

    right now I finish a silver batch with this poor man NITRIC, and is not good for silver. Make a lot of insoluble silver sulfate and small amount of silver nitrate, and for dissolving 40 grams of sterling silver you will need aprox 700-800 ml concentrated sulfuric acid+ nitrate salt

    o fuck I process 500 gr of fingers(contain aprox2,5% 24k gold) the foils is gone dissolve in solution after I replace the solution BECOUSE the first solution become saturated. I use potassium nitrate fertilizer with sulfuric acid and demineralised water now I hope to get the gold from solution I hope to precipitate after addition on SMB(not always work) BECOUSE I hate to use copper for cementing (not always work)

    If you only have calcium nitrate, you can add sodium sulfate or some other sulfate, then heat it while leading the vapors over in a beaker with water forming nitric acid without the crystallization of calcium sulfate, saving your glassware.
