  it's not a "regular" font size. It is size 8 which is far too small for most older people to read.

  I certainly agree with your comment. My comment is merely to explain what is the most common font size used by publishers when printing Bibles.

  Which illustrating Bible would you recommend? Would you recommend getting the whole one? If not, which of the smaller ones would you recommend for the purpose of using the space for creative purposes or for notes/studying?

  God bless you Rebekah. I’m thankful for your beautiful testimony of faith and love of Jesus Christ. I’m very very new to my journey of faith in Christ, my life has not been easy to say the least. But I’m desperately hungry for the Lord and to have relationship with Him and I know it’s through His word He speaks. Many, many, many other ways as well, but mainly always through scripture. I needed to hear, and write down, what you said about not letting your personal experiences overshadow what the word of God says to be true. That is such a powerful and beautiful poignant statement that hit me straight to my heart. And Jesus knew I needed ti hear that, so Holy Spirit lead me to you. I thank you for seeking Him, just for this specific video itself, but also the many many videos of your beautiful creativity and expression of loving Him back through and in His word, the Bible through all your beautiful journaling. That same desire I had, the Lord graciously through Holy Spirit, lead me to your channel. I had no clue it was even a thing and I search and searched to no avail and then one day it just opened up, and I found your channel and another. I praise God for His goodness and faithfulness, and I thank you for your obedience to fulfilling His calling in your life. I pray this ministry of your channel never goes away I. Jesus name and confuses to grow and help many many souls fall in love with Jesus and His word and spend much time also seeking His ways and truths to have relationship with Him.   I always return to yr fantastic reviews when looking for diffrent types of Bibles. I prefer line-free bibles for I find the lines are too far apart. I want to write more tightly.

  Just a heads-up, you can print on all vellum that doesn't have foil on it. And if you look for tracing paper (try stores tgat sell to architecture students,and/or design students), there are heavier versions that are exactly like vellum, but usually cheaper.

  How do the plain white edges hold up over time? Does gold gilding protect the pages or is it more just for looks?

  I want a NLT bible with heavy duty paper....well heavier weight than the rice paper a lot of bibles have!!! I don't like turning pages and it rips or creases just by me breathing on it! Any help would be appreciated! :)

  I love reading my Bibles as well taking notes I have a world bible school study edition journaling bible and a Spanish bible as well king James bible can I write in them with a Bic stic pen or with a pompom pen or with a regular pencil

  Search my channel for "illustrating bible pen" and see if you can find my huge video sampling different types of pens, which gives a good indication of things. As a general rule, the more liquid that comes out of your pen, the greater chance of it bleeding through. So try not to use a brush pen and instead use a smaller tip for less chance of this happening.

  Unfortunately Comfort print and large print often isn't comfortable or large for a person over 60 to read comfortably

  I do agree. The Inspire Bibles that are giant print are exceptionally large print. The books are large too but worth it if needed for this purpose.

  Where is the Catholic Bible review? Not only that, there was little consistency in the comparisons, for example: “These are the best cream page / white page / translation / size”. Quite rambling. And where was the best Catholic Bible in your list

  Maybe she's not catholic so why would she include their bible, any catholic could use the Bible she reccomended even if they dont have any of the 'added' books.

  Yikes! Little harsh for someone taking the time for free to go out of her way to review a ton of Bibles.. not ALL but a lot! Maybe she's not Catholic? If she's not Catholic it wouldn't be right for her to review and have an opinion on a Bible she doesn't even follow/believe in it wouldn't be right! Why not just search Catholic journaling Bible reviews instead of being rude and judgemental to someone who has done absolutely nothing but have been kind and thoughtful!

  @@misst1305 The "added" books are known as the 7 Deuterocanonical Books, which incidentally, were not added but rather deleted. They are also referenced in the "normal Protestant" Bible. There are over 40,000 "denominations." If they all agreed on everything in the Bible so they can ostensibly all use the same Journaling Bible, why 40,000 groups? Do you know anything re the content of *whispered* The Apocryphal Books? I'm guessing just some cherry picked items covered in poison ivy by some overzealous evangelists. There is useful and beneficial information in "Those Books." Did you know that the Ethiopian Coptic Christian Bible has 81 Books? Fun Fact. Also catholic, with a small "c" means "universal," but I'm sure you weren't meaning and disrespect to Catholics, right? Incidentally, I used to be a Fundamental/Evangelical/Way Off Church, so I have seen both sides of the fence... That is sad. There is One God, Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. Just One Trinity for ALL of us... I have not heard and doctrinal bombshells in this presentation; just describing layouts, sizes, ways to take notes, etc. I Bid You Peace. Blessed Be... 🕯

  I feel the same. I've been thinking of journaling but i feel guilty doodling in the Lord's word so i bought a separate journal to do that. Maybe each to their own.

  But what if God LOVES it? What if God loves His children spending time drawing their thoughts about what they read? What if God's Spirit is talking to you as you read, and you have a space to write what He said? A place to record your question WITH the verse? What if that was His reason for getting His word off scrolls, out of the church, and into the hands of each member--so you can have conversations and not just read words? The ideal Bible for me would be loose-leaf so I could add note pages when and where I needed them. I like keeping my notes WITH my Bible wherever I am, and carrying separate journals keeps me hauling a backpack. I take notes on every sermon, and that is enough extra! Journaling keeps me connected to and IN my Bible.
