Yep. If I knew then what I know now, I would have not bought my Nissan Rogue. Replaced transmission at 145,000 miles. Believe it or not I got an Oldsmobile Alero with 206,000 miles with very little issues. Engine and transmission still going.

I don't know man, I feel like this is a bad take. They definitely aren't great trucks by modern standpoints, but there was too much objectiveness on that truck in particular and not enough looking into what made the GMT 400 series the truck that it is. If you look back in 1988 when the GMT 400 came out it was futuristic, but back then it was smooth and streamlined and built less like a piece of utility equipment and more like something that could be an all-around use vehicle that you could drive to work all through the week, then take the family out for dinner in Saturday afternoon. Compare it to the Scottsdale and it's miles ahead of what they were, compared to the OBS Ford and it was more modern and current with its shape and design along with its interior comforts. I look at the OBS Chevy the same way I look at my generation, on the cusp of 30 I'm finding that I'm truly not Young anymore. I'm finally reaching the age where being part of the leading edge of humanity isn't what I want to be. What I hold dear and what I grew up with is considered out, and the new generation sees me as dated without looking at what my generation did to build the next step for the ones that come after. To hold the light on it and say it's a terrible vehicle by holding it only to its modern standards is a disservice to what it was at its time, and what it even still is today. The true Genesis of what a modern truck would come to be, not a utilitarian piece of equipment meant to do a job first and know your comfort as a secondary parameter. A machine that still fits in with the modern flow of traffic.

I always thought they were more a rival to the Nissan skyline gtr, they seem to have a lot more in common like awd, aws, twin turbo 6 cylinder etc

I feel the struggle of Korean cars still not getting recognition much internationally its like me: i am buying an android phone! parents: what brand? me: Samsung! parents: too expensive lah me: why? it is so revolutionary and high tech parents: ok, we buy you either an Oppo or Vivo, which one do you like? me: what?! parents: dont complain, they are all android phones anyway... with this dilemma, what more to Chinese cars like Geely, GAC or MG

Say what you want about the Paseo, you have to give credit where credit is due. It’s cheap to run, takes corners like a champ, reliable, super fun at any speed and it’s a head turner because nobody knows what the hell it is. Sports car? Kinda, economy coupe? Definitely.

One of my good buddies had one in high school, wrapped it around a tree, but he lived. One of my other good buddies had one when he was stationed in okinawa after high school. Im pissed that i never got to drive either of them 🤣 he wanted to get it shipped back when he left but it cost too much so he sold it. Ill bet he regrets it now

The main critical point is can you take it off-road? Can you cross steam? Can you spend day in the Australian outback under the sun (well , no. Electricity!)? Going the way of the luxury car is a dead end for electrical cars. You need something light which means smaller batteries and lower charging time. It does not have to be Li (major cause of pollution). As long as the vehicle is light, well built and practical, there is a use, especially in cities. As the technology loft and the infrastructure grow (recycling included) you can extend the applications. As it stand, Tesla truckoonet is another style of abomination. Truckoonets seem to have forgotten their purposes : cheap, rugged, able to carry stuff. They grew in size, but the relative size of their bed decreased. Tesla is the epitome of this tendency.

Although your caveats were timed well and humorous in the beginning, its kind of sad that you unironically may have needed those to dissuade the rabid elonites from attacking you because anyone who disagrees with anything elon does is shortsighted and jealous. That line "the biggest fallacy is thinking you need to be in the business you're criticizing" hit hard man.

Brings back so many memories. Traded my typhoon in for an 04 sti in wrc blue with silver wheels. No radio, no niceties. Road tripped it to Denver to visit my parents and we did pikes peak before it was paved to the top. Such a fun car.

These cars start off in 2nd gear for comfort, unless you floor it from take off, then it'll be in 1st gear. People talkimg shit before they even know what they're talking about. Anyways. I can't believe people still watch this guys channel. I just wanted to see what he said about these GLks. And it's exactly what I expected.

I dropped onto this after a few years of seeing it for the first time. This is the single most authentic and balls out fun review of the ELISE on the planet. Yes, I have a 2005 ELISE and grew up near Flemington (shout out to Whitehouse NJ) so I get it" I didn't get mine till I moved to Colorado so it's more useable here. Whenever someone asks me about my LOTUS I send them this link, and yes, I have used a penis pump, not that I need to but its always fun
