    What happened to the back corner? It looked square before the last sanding and now there's a gap on both sides. Did you have to do that to make it fit?

    I tend to use the ply cover as my base , then cover that with either 2 pack filler and carve to shape . Or sand some builders insulation foam or balsa to get a nice shape , that way you have a stiff plug mould that you can try on the hull before making the moulding.If you want it to come out easier ,spray with PVA mould release ( outdoors) dont want that in your lungs.

    The TP is the best motor by far.,you can re angle the motor mount to keep the motor under the lid. The brass tube for the flex will just need a S shape. I’ve used those fins they are good. A straight fin is all you need to corner fairly good with not costing speed.

    Okay I'm trying to follow your lead and I need to know the amount for the term Finn I will assume that you hand me that yourself probably out of a piece of carbon fiber I'm going to go ahead and order the tournament out of China just like you did if you take a look at big beast boat didn't he take and run two turn fence one on each side now I realize that we're going to be going straight and to the right. So I don't know what two turn fans is going to end up gaining probably won't turn well to either direction. So what my funny story for you is I ordered my rigger with the full hardware package just so that I can get some linkages rubber boots a few other odds and ends that I didn't want to have to piss me off I just wanted them there. If you notice in the package I even got a water strainer but basically it's a fuel filter I don't know what the heck that's for but there's more funny equipment in here like the servo that they provided I don't know what they're expecting you to do with the like 2 oz and then their choice of OutRunner motor I swear the OutRunner motor is no bigger than my some or maybe it's as large as a thimble it's the cutest little thing I've ever seen and they provided a shark 40 amp with it. Needless to say so far I've only gotten half of the hull together. I keep putting KZread videos of folks that have made and or are running the shrimp outrigger and I keep losing time. I'd like to know what you ended up doing for the paint job I see that you painted the sponsors but I would like some more info on painting

    I've done what you plan to do with the flycolor 90esc and it works great, though I made my own cooling plate. However your weight measurement is slightly off, you will have to use zip ties or some other method to attach the cooling plate to the esc which is more weight. It's not much but since you are comparing you need the correct weight. Yeah I know it's being picky. But I've had no cooling problems.

    one more comment ;) that tapered rudder has 2 different size water passages. the front hole is smaller ID. that might explain your temp differential from left to right. also, you have it cut pretty short. i use a straight blade shortened only a little bit on my Cheetah. i tested all the different length rudder mounts and different shape and length rudder blades. i currently use the shortest rudder mount. it helps keep the rudder away from prop wash. your short blade is also more susceptible to prop wash, especially now that you have the props turning inward. (my props turn outward.)

    Scince you know a lot about props I’ve been wanting to ask you what is the difference between the RC boat bitz 4516 prop versus the oxidean marine 4516 prop or are they the same

  • @H2oMechanic2RC
    @H2oMechanic2RC8 күн бұрын

    @Calithedoodle they are probably 99% similar. I believe most cnc props are made in 1 location and re-branded. (Like most stuff.) A 4516 is a big prop, more for 1600kv motor. If you run say 2000kv on 6s, id go to a 4216. BAR - blade area ratio is important too. The less BAR, the bigger the prop can be, it'll reach optimum rpm. ABC props are best to play around with balance and cutting down the blade size (not diameter). My Impulse loved a 42mm 1.5p .38bar. I'd recommend if you buy a prop, buy the size & pitch you want & also buy the next size smaller as well. I have 3 Oxi props, they are just pricey in my opinion.

    @minochercowasjee gps doesn't read thru the carbon Fiber hulls. So it's gotta be on the outside. It seems waterproof so far. I like the Dynamite GPS (except it doesn't have long battery life). Most rc gps are very accurate.

    The tank mixing may work for differential thrust, as long as you can adjust the percentage of power going in to each motor in a turn.. id like to see you try this with the cheetah. Lots of rc boats back in the 80s would turn with differential trust w/o a rudder only motor thrust

  • @H2oMechanic2RC
    @H2oMechanic2RC8 күн бұрын

    @IRONCLADRC I assume to do this I must run throttle on channel 2&3 (instead of the Y splitter) this way I can set throttle to 2 channels and control it via tank mixing. (Does that seem correct to you B?)
