Adventures in Everyday Cooking

Adventures in Everyday Cooking

I'm Heather and I'm a everyday chef who loves to adventure in the kitchen. I explore all things in the normal everyday kitchen including (but not limited to Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Air Fryer, Instant Pot...et al).

I'm also a Pampered Chef consultant and while I do use the products in my kitchen, I am not pushing them or trying to sell. I'm just having fun and I love my products :)

I hope you'll join me in my next adventure!

Where are the amounts of ingredients??? What’s the point of showing something if you don’t give the measurements. Your a waste of time.

I just bought a used one. I'm not sure about cleaning it! Do I use dish soap, just a brush and water? And when soaking, do you use cold, warm, or hot water? Thanks!!

Many garlic noodle recipes don't use Worcestershire sauce so that may be why it's too salty!

Will this lid fit on top of a instant pot 8 qt? I'm thinking about getting a sous vide 3.0 but I thought I would save the money and not buy a container since I already have the instant pot.

Very cool! Thanks for sharing! 🙂 You mention that the clay pot goes in cold. Does it go cold into a preheated oven, or into a cold oven?

I am a potter and this will need to go into a cold oven and heat up with the oven to avoid thermal shock

The edges on a tri tip will always be a bit more done because it comes to a thinner point so it’ll cook some what more done then the center. Looks delicious. New to the channel, have you done soft shell crabs?

I began using the Romertopf clay cooker, way back in the 70's. Before I retired, it was my "to to," means of preparing meals on Sunday. It's incredibly easy, and dishes tend to improve in the day-or-two after the initial roast. That was great for left-overs, on the days when I didn't want to cook. My favorite meal was a CHICKEN, RICE AND VEGGIE combination. The liquid that accumulates from the cooking of the meat, and the veggies, is perfect for being absorbed by the rice ... adding all of those flavors.

I do two pulls (but mine is a different brand of press, dont know if that actually makes a difference) and let it set a second before moving the press..... But mine come out perfect if I take my time if I don't they do exactly as yours was doing, so after pulling count to maybe three or four then mov3 to the next spot.....
