Dealership failed to connect a coolant line which leaked daily into the electric drive motor. Every day there was a 3 foot puddle of coolant under my volt after the accident. (I hit a semi truck tire). I put the vehicle back in the shop 3 times. They couldn't find the leak. They couldn't drive it long enough to get the temperature high enough to get it to leak. Problem is, once it gets low of coolant it will stop charging again and the process has to start all over. If you top off, clear code, then keep it topped off it will continue to charge.

108k on mine, oil changes only
Keep driving! 😊
Where on earth you were driving to put that many miles on in only a few years?????
GM LORDSTOWN PLANT 7 days a week operation 115 miles one way with a 10-12hour shift. Racks up miles fast. I currently have a Bolt EUV. Only 4 months old and 30k on it already. 135 miles one way 7 days a week. EV's are Wonderful!!
My advice..........trade it and get a 2016 volt. That's the redesigned model
Truck tire is no joke. This is the main reason why these newer semi trucks are using the single fat tires
GM put alot of time into the research and development of this. Since they realize cross overs are selling so much, they stopped making the Volt because of this. So hopefully the Bolt and Bolt EUV can inherit all the greatness the first Volt gave us.
I currently have a Bolt EUV! Have it 4 months now. 30k miles already!
What's your miles per gallon just using it as a gas car?
42 mpg
@@erickbelmer9350 this video was a while back, do you still use the vehicle?? Thanks :)
@@j23araluce nope sold it after motor failure due to car wreck.
I just went through the service high voltage charging system after 40,000 miles.
Hope you're dealership can keep it from popping up later. Mine did this 9 times before I gave up and just used it as a gas car. $250 for each time it happened. Happened more when the battery got older.
@@erickbelmer9350I have the same error currently at the dealership to get it cleared, you said you can drive as a gas only car. Is it possible? I thought you need the electric charge to keep it going, I own a 2012 chevy volt
There is ONE for sale in Portland, and I live about 30 min away. I seriously like it, and would be down there but I have to do something all day today. I think it will be sold by then.
Hello Eric,there is a 2012 Volt with over 200000 miles,$4800.00,should I buy it? Thanks
Nope! Old battery pack doesn't like time. Battery will or is considerably weaker by now.
@@erickbelmer9350 Thanks
