Previous owner of my Kawasaki had removed the reflectors - the screws to add them back on were $30 from kawasaki. I think Japanese bikes aren't nearly as cheap as people act. They do break parts way less often than bikes from other countries, but they still are expensive to fix.

I think it's great their shaking up the market. But with no dealer support near me if Honda releases a 450/500 with a 270 degree crank or if a new DRZ400/450 comes out I'd go that route.

I'm currently on a 22 890 I think about The possibility for electrical issues or cams none of these have shown up yet 12,000 miles . The grin Factor on this bike just blows my mind I can't believe what I can do on it it's just so well engineered to be a hooligan and to hit dirt and for that matter rail through the twisties even on knobbies. I'm just going to ride it out and that's it I love it

I have a 2023 890 Adventure R. Like has been previously mentioned, it’s a thoroughbred off-road. Amazing power, ideal weight distribution and great suspension. The brakes have saved me a few times already. I have had a couple issues with the TFL. The current one appears to be a cooling fan failure, but doesn’t affect performance. I may take the maintenance over and perform the work myself.

I’ve got the Pro. Thought I’d made a $13k mistake until I got my preload and clickers dialed-in. I absolutely love this bike so much now. I bought it after spending 7 days on the Husky/KTM RFR and yes, it lacks the refinement of the RFR, it’s plenty fast enough and even more comfortable. I actually like riding it more. I’m a similar weight / height BTW and had similar bucking and needed to lean way out over the bars in turns. It’s now amazing.

DUDES! Your first-person video skills are HORRIBLE. I wish I could have finished watching because I like your narration and other shots, but damn, dude! Your GoPro style shots are nauseating. Take it from a pro cinematographer, there are many things you can do to fix this. Please do your research and learn the skill. Your first person video is unwatchable. Otherwise, good content.

I have a 2019 ktm 790R since new, only 12 thousand miles on it but it has been very mechanically sound, never back to the dealer. There are small things like the hard starting issue, which I'm about to fix with a fuel X lite, for 200 bucks, but the power and suspension is just awesome. I could never go down to a lesser powered bike, it would just be boring. Some want extreme reliability but I want a bike that rips, both on the street and single track, to each their own, as long as you're having fun, stay safe.

Very beutiful video. It might be overpriced/underspecced for what it is but it's kind of the only thing in the class you can buy where i am. Like the CRF300L Ralley, kind of the same, a few upgrades and you have a long distance bike that can tackle any road.

just bought a 2018. hoping it is all good at 1000k miles. had full fmf powerbomb, 2 tooth up in rear and relatively clean. just changed oil, realized it has the 3x3mod after removing seat. Assuming possible carb work. had to loosen exhaust cause header was touching frame but I am so frickin paranoid something is wrong with this thing. Only thing left to do is figure out if "idle" is too low as it stalls at times and/or takes forever to need a no choke. Admittedly, this is the first time dealing with a carb outside chain saws and trimmers. I have less than 2 miles on it around my neighborhood till I get the title and register it. Pray for me yall.

I’m genuinely curious about the Tuareg’s reliability. They don’t sell as much so of course not as many people are reporting issues, I just saw a video of someone who reported scorched cams on his Tuareg. I’m actively researching for the Tuareg and the 890 as they cost the same in my country, so any bit of information would be appreciated.

I sold my DR650. Short explanation, I bought a Yamaha dual sport which is WAY lighter. Once I get my dirt and road skills up, then someday I'll get a heavier dual sport like a DR650.
