  Morty being like Rick is hilarious, especially how Morty is always trying to seem virtuous but will kill a whole civilization just for some kewchie. Summer is the best member of the family and rarely gets her own adventures but that’s why she doesn’t get her own adventures. Who wants to see a Summer episode?

  I always dislike how people just write off Morty and Rick as “empty” cause they abandon timelines cause they act like they don’t have trauma over it. It’s just that, for them, it’s not like “replacing” their family members is getting a new dog, it’s getting the same dog maybe a few seconds earlier or he doesn’t remember that time you guys went to the park in June. And think about it, when you can just universe hop, why would you try to unfuck a fucked situation? Why would you persist in a world where everyone you love is dead when you can just go somewhere else?

  The funny thing is, the dinosaurs have a better end than Rick. The dinosaurs find a home where they can let go of their savior ideals and go back to the simple pleasures of skateboarding, while enjoying each other’s company. Rick on the other hand spends his days living with a family that was never his, all while trying to prove his superiority to people who somewhat don’t care.

  So many comments casting judgement on Morty for “abandoning” his “real” family. Expecting a teenager faced with a choice between endless suffering and infinite possibility to correctly navigate the ethics and implications of a multiverse seems unreasonable.
